Hard to get to from Pisa but worth the bus ride for the ocean. No ocean view from the hotel though, that was a bit of a bummer. Good place though and an acceptable hotel for the price. Would recommend it to other students.

A nice little hotel all the rooms were painted in bright mediterranian colours. Professional friendly staff. The fair price included a good breakfast. Karla and Ben, from Holland

30 euro cab ride from the airport and very slim breakfast didn't have me grabbing a business card for my next trip to the area.

The hotel was very clean. It is fairly far out of Pisa, but 500 meters from the beach. Catching a bus into the city was easy and convenient though.

Very nice, quitet, friendly place. As I needed a place to recover from a long bike tour, it was perfect. If you want action, go somewhere else. Average age of guests 40+

We were there in early October and as you would expect there was not much open in Terrenia but even if there was you get the feeling that it had seen better days and was a bit shabby. We didnt hire a car but found public transport more then adequate to visit Pisa, Lucca (dont miss it! Hire a bike and cycle the ramparts) and Florence. The hotel is very close to the beach where we managed to spend two hot afternoons out of the 4 days we were there. This hotel is a good base for a mix of beach and access to the historic cities.close

The advertising on hostelworld website is slightly misleading on the hotel. You have to pay fifteen euro to use the airport shuttle service which isnt specified. Also it says the hotel is only 10mins away from Pisa but thats only if you have a car. Its 30mins on the bus. BEWARE!!

Masimo was lovely although initially it did feel dodgy getting in to a car with a strange man! it was fine. Hotel all brand new, simple but we weren't staying inside in day so didn't matter. Bathroom was new and brilliant hot shower! Only problem was its distance from Pisa, as got bus in next day, but left bags and had to return the half hour journey to collect them. However this did give us chance to walk along beach only few hundred metres away so we really enjoyed it. Just to note, we found that can leave bags at train st. so wouldn't need to go back to collect. Hotel only had 3 rooms booked and only saw 1 other person but assume it was because it is november. For the price it felt like a posh hotel compared to the hostel we stayed in in Florence which was a lot less luxurious to say the least.close

would be a great place if in the summer and would definitely stay again (even in winter). was a little hard to get to by bus, but made it in the end. About 30 minutes out by bus, taxi will cost about 30 euro. Staff were friendly and room was very clean. nice get away from the city.

We really liked this hotel, all of the staff were very friendly. It is worth noting that the whole of Tirrenia closes after the main Italian vacation months so there wasn't much to do there.

Good hotel - ideal for a beach holiday but a fair walk from shops and restaurants. No info on public transport. For all sightseeing and visiting other towns a half hour trip by bus into Pisa is necessary - return journey = 5 Euros

Was generally impressed with the hotel, but was unhappy at the attitude of one of the members of staff. Air conditioning not available off season. Can be a bit noisy if you need to open the windows for some air, if you are in a room at the front of the hotel. Location-wise it's not too far...

Quiet suburban area. Homely atmosphere, friendly but unobtrusive staff. Well served by public transport - only 1.95 to Pisa, buses every 20 minutes. Close to the sea & several Pizzeria nearby . Would definitely stay there again.

Good if you want a quiet place out of the city, but to be avoided if you actually want somewhere in Pisa. Good beach nearby and nice, clean rooms.

This hotel may be a bit far out of the main town for some, but for those who like a pleasant walk, it's no problem. It's very near to the beach, on which there are plenty of trattorias. The staff were very helpful, looking after our motorbike gear when asked. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful stay and experience. Very clean and new. Very friendly staff. Although out of Pisa itself, it was easily accessible by bus and perhaps worth being out of the hustle and bustle. Thank you for a great stay.

Out of all the cities I have travelled to in Italy Pisa has to be the worse for clear directions. For example the train station and bus station are not together. There is also a coach station which adds further opportunity for confusion. You can only get tickets to Terrania from the bus station ticket office - not from Tabacchi outlets as for any other ticket purchases etc! If you get public transport from Pisa airport it doesn't actually stop at the bus station, only the train station. This meant that I stayed on the bus by mistake and ended up at the oppposite side of the city to where I needed to be to make a bus connection to Terrenia! In short I would suggest the hotel adds the following sentences to the directions part of its information as follows: Take the train from Pisa airport to the railway station terminus at Pisa or a bus from the airport and get off at the railway station. Ask directions to the bus station (not coach station), which is a 5 mins walk from the railway station. Purchase a ticket for bus no.3 from the bus station ticket office. Journey by bus to Terrenia takes approx 30 mins. Get off bus at first stop after the Terrenia village sign. Hotel Riviera Blue is 200 metres walk away on left hand side of main road. Do not get off in the centre of Terrania otherwise you will have a 2 kilometre walk back to the hotel. If I had had this information I would not have spent 3hrs on my first day getting to the hotel from Pisa - longer than my journey to Italy from Scotland by air!!! Hotel was excellent and more than compensated for the above hiccup!close

Description didn't mention bus to Pisa takes 40-45 mins, and leaves irregularly! Staff also couldn't advise on bus times or prices.
