Reception arrangements were a joke - fortunately the invisible owner's general dogsbody Chris is reliable and kind. The apartement is lovely though. Pretty sure you would be short of hot water though if the flat was full. If they sorted out the problems it would be really good

Where we ended up was more central, although it was obviously a make shift arrangement in another woman's lounge, with a couple of camp beds. Breakfast was great and the owner of Il Giramondo offered us free ice creams as compensation, so no complaints!close

Good for staying over a night if in transit. Wouldn't recommend for any longer than two nights if a fun atmosphere is what you're after.

It is a really nice place with a beautiful balcony and nice rooms. You don't have the impression that you are in a B&B it is more like someone gave you the keys to their flat.

On arriving in Pisa we couldn't get in touch with anyone but by pure luck we found the accommodation ourselves and literally bumped into the cleaner as she was entering the building. She managed to put us in touch with the owner who arrived 20 minutes or so later. If it wasn't for the cleaner called Lisette it would have been a complete disaster. There seemed to be a distinct lack of communication here.close

This is a first class place to stay in Pisa. Close to everything. The staff are friendly, the decor is great, beds comfy, very clean, and a great terrace to sit and chill out.

As for "security", there is none - one morning, I was awaken by the very specific sound of my valet being open. One second later, the lady was puting my trousers over the chair and "cleaning" the room with appologies all around. The staff, which happens to be just that one woman, does only speak italian. Also, be prepared for vacuum cleaning behind your door at 8:00. (Incidentaly, Giramondo is one of the ring of associated bussineses, the other two being La Cuscine and La Mimosa, which is better, except for the location at the edge of town.)close

when i arrived the woman working there said I owed more money than I did. In the end since I had my hostelworld printout I paid the amount that I knew to be right. However I never figured out how and why she had a different amount.

However, the problem of the language barrier materialized when we were literally chased out of the house by the cleaning woman - apparently we had been expected to leave earlier. I would recomend that they put up a 'General Guidelines' sheet in several languages that explains breakfast, check out time etc.close

Nice place to stay. The staff doesn't speak any english but is really nice and attempts to be helpful. Other than that Its a great location, really close to the station, and only about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the tower, depending on how fast you walk.

A beautiful boutique hotel in the city centre with marvellous rooms, a great breakfast and a lot of privacy. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed. If you value contemporary interior design, this is the place for you. The rooms with baths in the wall are excellent fun.
