I stayed in a dorm and it was very basic and a bit smelly. Not as good as other hostel dorms I've stayed at in China. The place definitely has character (as does the whole city). The owner is an older Chinese woman and she speaks English. There wasn't any information around (that I saw) on renting bikes, trips, sister hostels, etc., which I found odd.close

Great location in the centre of town. Guest rooms are located in the back courtyard, so very quiet. Room was warm, plenty of hot water. The food in the restaurant was excellent but spoiled by the room's chilly temperature and dim lighting.

Graet location and a friendly welcome. Felt like you were a guest in a family home. Double bed was huge!

We recieved a warm and friendlty reception here. The location is great- right in the centre of town and easy to get every where by foot. Whilst the staff do not speak much English they are helpful and helped book our on ward train. The room was lovely and warm- can highly recomemnd it!

It could be better upkept.Walls a bit dirty, but I guess it was due to the wide usage of coal in the city. The private facilities need to be improved, very narrow and small,yellow water came out the taps, so it was impossible to shower,or wash your teeth. Staff is super friendly.
