Very nice place to stay. The staff (one man) was extremely attentive (perhaps too much so). Good location, free Internet and travel office to help you with whatever you want. Recommended.

Very clean,beautiful,comfortable, safety guesthouse. In the room, safety deposit box,dvd player,hot shower ect..Staff is very kindly,so nice people..real lovely guesthosue. I recommend som guesthouse. Definitely I will go again.

Never stay here unless you want your bags raided by the cleaners and your money stolen. Staff blame everyone else except themselves and dont even attempt to sort it out

Owners are the best that I have come across so far and always eager to assist with any queries. Room is clean, tidy - air con is excellent and water is hot. Also get excellent discounts when booking tours. Would recommend hostel to anyone.

I could stay confortably.Cleaness room..... The Korean owner is kind and take care well. You can arrenge many activies on quite cheep price.

We arrived like around 11pm and Mary's father 'Papa' was waiting for us in the street so the minibus did not miss the guesthouse. What a nice touch. Mary helped us booking the trip to Phiphi island just after we arrived... They were staying late just to welcome us.. very friendly and helpful.

Tucked away of the main road in Patong, its clean with AC, fridge, TV and great shower & free Wi-Fi. Saff can't do enough for you, polite & helpful. A 10 min walk from the beach. Comes recommended.

Excellent!! I love staying in Som Guesthouse. The location was superb, there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Only 3 minutes walking to Patong beach. This Place is more like a hotel than like a hostel.The rooms get cleaned every day, location is good and the staff is very helpfull.Only a few minutes to the beach and to the night life.The only reason why they don´t get 100% is, beacuse they have no pool :-)

Very clean, but more so a dive-shop with rooms above than an actual guesthouse. Location is reasonably good, but the staff is a bit useless and they're only around when the dive-shop is open.

We were only using this hostel as an overnight stay so fun wasn't high on our agenda. We were the only guests at the time so it was quiet. Grand for an overnight stay, no problems.

The most honest people I know. I felt better than at home. Location its great, 1 block from the beach, 1 from the main street, but yet quiate. Lovely Corean Family. I hightly recomend this place. Definitly i would be back there. They help you with everything you need.

A nice hostel. It is clean but there are some ants in the room. Staffs are nice. I booked 2 double bed rooms, they upgraded one of our room to the 3 ppl room. Som Guesthouse is friendly and nice. The staff can get you a good deal on trips in the area, so don't be afraid to book w ith them. Their location within Patong is great, but Patong itself is a tourist trap. We recommend renting a motor bike and exploring the island yourself!

Location is good, near the beach (10 mins walking), Patong Food park (got many seafood stalls), shopping malls and anoutdoor square between the malls which has free live music.The owners of this guesthouse is from Korea so you can see both korean and thai stuff here.

This place is amazing for the price....a/c, hot shower with pressure, double bed, cable, no bugs..5min walk from beach and 10min walk to bang la rd...if i would ve known before i would have stayed longer...

This is an expensive place to stay but then again good luck finding somewhere cheaper in Phuket. This is a very pleasant gusthouse to stay in. I hope you don't mind hearing the owners dog bark at all hours though.

Was really clean, and quiet, but the staff couldn't speak english very well. And the shower didn't have any pressure. Almost like a 4-star hotel when it came to cleanliness and the size of the rooms :D great value
