They gave our room away that we had paid to reserve. Offered a different room type at a seperate hotel for the same price. When we declined they refused to return copies of our passports, and lied about even having them. An awful business, stay elsewhere!

This place was pretty much a dump. The room was damp and musty. Our room had a window the size of a postage stamp. So much for a river view. Strange thing is we also had large windows which faced the corridor and were covered by a few thin and tacky curtain. All this for 75 USD...what a joke....

Very helpful staff. It is across from the train station, but you can´t get there directly. They met us at the station and took our bags to the hotel.

It was alright but our room had mold on the ceiing and the bathroom. Definitely has better rooms for a better price.

Again, being a hotel, I had nice clean room, large bathroom, river views, and the breakfast was excellent. A bit on the pricey side, but after an early morning four hour train ride and half a day walking around the ruins of Machu Picchu I'm very glad I stayed here. I totally recommend Hanaqpacha Inn Hotel & Restaurant.close

You have to go down an unpaved road next to railroad tracks, so the location isn't great if you have to roll your luggage down this road but it's not that far because the town is so small everything is close together. All in all nice place to stay.close

Staff at reception were very disappointing and our booking was not processed when we arrived. Had to justify that we had actually booked. They seem to look down on backpackers!! BUT... A beautiful room for our 1st anniversary and very easy to find though a little away from the main part of town.

The hotel was nice...but a little hard to locate even though it is close. The river noise was great for inducing sleep.

the bed is very comfortable and the food is delicious, highly recommended, great value in Aguas Calientes. Ask for a room with a view of the river.

Average character but safe and the hotel was able to hold our bags for us while we were in Machu Picchu. Checkout is at an early 10:30 (maybe 9:30?) AM. Room was clean, but small, and train tracks outside provided a poor view and a couple of late night (~11 PM) annoyances with train whistles. Location is average, not quite convenient for anything but not in the midst of celebrations either. Very average character. They were happy to hold our bags for us while we were at Machu Picchu. Good hotel in good location, comfy bed, excellent shower, air con in the room, nice early buffet breakfast available, helpful staff. Would definitely use again and a big relief after the grim reports about many hostels/hotels in Aguas Calientes.
