Solid place to stay. Really great location since it's only a 5 min walk from the Plaza de Armas in Lima.

Clean, no English spoken at all though. Limited facilities. Good location. Would use again.

This was without a doubt the worst hostel we have ever stayed in. We were booked in for 8 nights but took one look at the room and promptly changed it to one night. Its in a really dodgy alleyway. The bed linen had cigarette burns in it and wax and dirt stains all over it. Security wasnt great as some strange men wandered in off the streets and tried to get in. Stay here at your own peril. Or take our advice and go to youth hostel Malka!!close

When we arrived in Lima at the airport we where first told that this hostel was in a dangerous area but we still had our driver take us to the hostel. There were numerous gates to go through and on the street right down from the hostel was a heap of garbage and vagrants on the street. We have stayed in numerous hostels but this one was well below even an acceptable level. I would like to request that I not even be charged for the 1st night's stay on the 15th through the 17th and for a separate booking on the 22nd of august. the booking confirmation number for the 1st stay is 4716 2932674 and for the 22nd night's stay is 4716 3268774. I appreciate your attention to this matter. Our group ended up staying 1 night at the Inca Wasi Hostel and the other nights in Lima at the Incahaus in Miraflores and were extremely satsified with those 2 hostels. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Dennis Burnsclose

The hostel was filthy and the bed sheets smelt as though they had not been washed before we arrived. Bearing this in mind we left a week early. I wouldn´t recommend this hostel or should I say hovel to anyone. We are now staying in Cusco at a 2 star hostel where the rooms are cleaned everyday... more The hostel was filthy and the bed sheets smelt as though they had not been washed before we arrived. We are now staying in Cusco at a 2 star hostel where the rooms are cleaned everyday and new bedding every other day with clean towels. I don´t know how the Hostel San Francisco can call itself 2 stars, it should be ashamed. Check out our hostel Amaru in Cusco it´s great!!close
