Although Leah was very helpful, the nightime porter was unhelpful and extremely rude to us on one occasion. Almost every time we left the building we had to wait forever to be let back in - they seem to like ignoring people. Description states that hostel has a cafeteria and a bar - this is all lies. We had to go in search of a supermarket to even find water. In short, pretty awful.close

I asked for a wake up call, because i lost my cellphone. I had a flight at 5 o'clock in the morging. So i had to go to the airport 2 houres before that. And they didn't wake me. I asked the guard of the hostel 3 times or it was oik to wake me. But when i waked up myself, thank god. I saw hem... more I asked for a wake up call, because i lost my cellphone. They didn't care at all. It's a beautefull place. But i wouldn't recoment it to anyone. An i'm not really a person who complains a lot. I'm really honest.close

Without a doubt, I would recommend Home Peru to everyone! Very friendly staff, clean, relaxing environment, close to places and huge rooms.

A friendly and quiet place! I am travelling now already for 7 months and this is definitly one of the best places I stayed in!! Clean, safe, best showers and kitchen. Keep up the good work!

looks like a picture out of Architectural Digest. Very nice courtyard, but for some reason it was almost abandoned when I was there. I'd suggest Backpackers, Inka Lounge, or this one(I stayed at all three).

Really nice building in Miraflores area, right in between the old centro and the new Miraflores/Larcomar area. The private room was really quite nice, though there were a few bugs wandering around. Staff was great and I loved Kaluha the dog!!

Worst room in south america in 6 months travelling....stayed for one night and left first thing. No internet as both computers are not working. This is a lovely hostel located a few blocks away from Miraflores. The staff was friendly and helpful! I was able to schedule both airline pick up and drop offs with them before we even arrived!

Great stay!! beautiful mansion, clean, huge rooms, great staff, excellent breakfast, lovely backyard and gardens!!!(and the dog "Kalua") Highly recommend it!!! Thanks for your hospitality!!

Home Peru was fine apart from the fact that there was no hot water on the two days I stayed. The weather was mild and the nights were quite cold, so a hot shower would have been nice. the room was very dark and the walls and woven rug were dirty looking - everything else was reasonably clean...

this was the best hostle I have stayed in my south america trip. If you have had enough of party hostles and are in need of some peace and quiet in a beautiful sourrounding then this is the place for you. The breakfast was amazing too, love this hostle!!

This is a great place to stay in Lima. Awesome old building/house, everything spotless and staff were cool and helpful. Shared bathrooms huge and clean. Wifi and internet free and good. No sign out the front so know the address.

Good Hostel.. The location arent the best and you need a cab to downtown, but walkinggdistance to some shopping and diffrent stores The staff is really friendly, nice price and nice clean hostel makes up for that distance :) I really enjoyed my stay :D

for the price you pay home peru is a reasonble value. the rooms are clean and the water is hot, but (i) the bathroom does not have a door and given the proximity of the bed to the toilet that can be a problem sometimes and (ii) the room does not have a fan and it can get a bit hot at night.
