Not much to recommend about this place, good rooms and free internet, but poor location in a relatively poor area. Some staff aren't particulary friendly. I'm sure there's better cheaper alternatives

Big room with balcony, free wifi was working excellent, nice staff. When entering room seemed to be a bit smelly but after a while this was gone.

The rooms are big, the stuff very friendly, but the place could use a revamp! It has the same furniture, toilettes, and even linen and towlers as in the 50's! I lost count on how many fixed wholes were there in the linen!!!

A great place for a quiet rest from the bustling George Town, which is easily accessible on foot. Loads of eating places within 5 mins walk from hotel. Helpful staff and very efficient. Value for money.

Maybe we were unlucky with the room - it had green thread bare carpets, probably not cleaned from last occupants as cigarette ash was on the floor. Thr room was generally depressing. Great roof garden and friendly helpful staff. The hotel is a short walk from the main drag.

we actually met the owner while we were there, a lovely guy, even gave us a lift to the northam beach food market in his car!! Top guy, top hotel.

Room looked like the 1970s and the air conditioner had only 2 settings: Off and f#$&ing cold. Apart from that, the location, staff and complimentary breakfast were all really good and it was very clean too. Great

This is a hotel, not a hostel. To review it as a hostel, it gets top marks. But as a cheap hotel (which it is) you can also give it high marks! I'd recommend this place. Close to the main Penang road, and the staff are very polite and helpful.

This hostel was ok and was in a good location. The ensuite was good with an excellent shower. It's just a shame about the town we stayed in, not our kind of place at all. Each to their own I guess.

Definately cheap hotel, not hostel accomidation. However, all the occupants appeared to be friendly. Clean spacious and tidy if you need a break after being a hostels. 10 minutes walk to bus station and pangang road restourants.

This place is great value for money. Our room was huge with balcony, aircon, private bathroom, very clean too. The staff were great and one guy on reception rang round a few places to find out train times and costs which was much appriciated. Very nice stay, thanks.

The staff here were friendly enough and helpful, but the place has definitely seen better days, it has a bit of a rundown feeling about it. All in all not a bad place to stay, but considering the price you might be able to find somewhere cheaper that's just as good.

Very close to the hub of Georgetown and public transport with very helpful and knowledgable staff and exellent value for money so why waste your time and money staying in a toilet in Love lane or Chulia street when for only a few dollars more stay in a well appointed hotel without paying big...

More of a hotel than a hostel. Has seen better days, but was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and did their best to sort out any problems. Breakfast was basic, but o.k. Free Wifi available.
