I had items including my mobile phone stolen from my bags by the cleaners whilst I was out during the day. This place was absolutely awful, quite a dump. The sheets were filthy, the service from the staff was very bad, and the overall experience just horrendous. Avoid like the plague.

Security guy on evening was so sweet. He saw that I had a cough when I was on the computer early one morning and he kept bringing me over special drinks for it and hot tea and tissues. As they were fully booked the next evening he went round different hotels and found me a room somewhere else -...

Great location and fairly clean throughout. Smells a bit funny (although they tried to cover the smell with spray) and ok value for money.

Hello You! I really enjoyed the stay at Coast Star Mansion. All of you where very kind. also at the restaurant! The tv signal could be better and the mould in bathroom with clorine is to be removed. (but the environment will then be sad i know) All for now! Ciao

Nice guesthouse with friendly staff. The location is great, near to everything, and the most valuable guesthouse iv been to! free jacuzzi, pooltable, movies and internet in a guesthouse for under 1000B unbeliveable!

Our room had been sold even though hostel worlds terms and conditions state you will be charged for the 1st night in the case of a no show we were then told that our reasons for being late were bull sh*t by the owner which was incredibly unproffessional and rude he then tried to tell us if we were in Australia we would have to pay $100US for a room like his and we should be greatfull, if we payed $100 for a room in oz we would get excellent service a clean room and maybe even a comfy bed. Would not recomend as there are cheaper guest houses in Patong anyway. Pool table is useless, jacuzzi only cold and water was dirty and the roof top bar is a bamboo bench.close

Smoking should not be allowed in rooms because of the contagious and bad smell. It is also hard to breathe.

very Gay oriented place. gay pictures on every wall, gay staff, situated in the middle of the gay bar section. Great for Gay people, (not us) but the hostel is nice and interesting if you are gay friendly.

The hostel was okey, clean rooms,staff friendly. For the price I paid for AC room I was very satisfied with TV and VCD in the room and the very nice roof terrace with a real jacuzzi! but best of all the location. If I come to patong again I will for sure stay there again.

I enjoy my stay , the room very basic but clean, staff very friendly and tryed to help with everything, and best of all the LOCATION!! near to everything!! I can gladely recomend this place, and will soon come back

do explain further, l booked this place on the internet and when l arrived in phuket, the hostel said they were full. Very disappointing and meant l had to pay 3 times the price elsewhere because it was late at night

THEY RIP YOU OFF! I booked via hostelworld.com, printed out my booking confirmation. When I arrived at the hostel, all the rooms were taken and I did NOT get back my pre-payment. Better not go there!

We stayed over New Year and to ensure a room, we booked through HostelWorld. We had a windowless box room which was clean but basic. Paying B1500/n it's probably worth about half that elsewhere in Thailand. There was no cable TV or fridge as stated in the booking details.
