You can visit both sites or just one, but the queues for the Sainte Chapelle in particular are quite daunting so be warned. The Church was started in 1241 and is considered a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. The upper chapel has the most amazing rose window and the stained glass is considered the best of its kind in the world. Not surprising - the place just takes your breath away. The lower chapels is ornately decorated and brightly painted.close
