If you want to see this basilique qo there in the evening and you can see whole Paris because it is situated on top of the hill - highest point in Paris and you can see Eifell tower flashing. We were there on sunday and there was a mass inside so entry was free. You cannot take pictures inside... more If you want to see this basilique qo there in the evening and you can see whole Paris because it is situated on top of the hill - highest point in Paris and you can see Eifell tower flashing. We were there on sunday and there was a mass inside so entry was free. You cannot take pictures inside but I've took one :) There is around 250 steps from bootom of the hill but there is a METRO train going up to the hill so you can use your metro pass or metro ticket. I would recomend to go there during the mass when people are singing and you can enjoy the sound in this basiliqueclose

Located in Montmartre you go through the seediest part of the city to get to the Basilica and then all of a sudden, you look up one of the side streets and you see this amazing building. It’s a bit like a mirage really I guess as it’s the last thing you’re expecting to see and you do feel... more Located in Montmartre you go through the seediest part of the city to get to the Basilica and then all of a sudden, you look up one of the side streets and you see this amazing building. It’s a bit like a mirage really I guess as it’s the last thing you’re expecting to see and you do feel like closing your eyes and opening them again to make sure it’s real. Like a lot of Parisian attractions it is a bit of a climb to the top but again, like the others the climb is well worth it as the views from the top are incredible.close
