Dining in darkness is really something amazing.
Guided by the blind waiters you enter a completely dark room, the menu that you have chosen before going in is being brought to you and all you need to do is enjoy, feel, smell and taste.
Can be a wonderfully romantic experience or just great fun. Food is delicious, service is great as it has to be in a place like this where you otherwise are quite lost... Amazing! |

I f you want to try a new french conceptual restaurant, you have to in "manger dans le noir" in Chatelet les halles (metro 4/chatelet) in the heart of Paris. You will eat in a dark atmosphere (there is no light, it is totally black) The service is made by blind people. You have to guess what there is in your plate. It is a unique experience and you will quit this place with strange sensation |

Paris Restaurant.
Chez Salvatore ,
Lovely Italian restaurant in a great area of Paris.
This place is not your normal trendy Italian restaurant that you may fine but it’s simply warm and welcoming with the wood burning oven. This restaurant is run by an Italian Family and they take great pride in the food they serve.
The pasta Bolognese is delicious and you could taste all the freshness & flavor in the ingredients they use. Also the house wine is great and it’s very reasonably priced too. The staff is very helpful & friendly. Loved this resturant. |

Au Bon Coin,
This is a lovely French Bar & Restaurant located in a lovely neighborhood of Montmare. This place is owned by a French family its been in the family for 3 generations.
You can sit at the terrace and have a small lunch or just a coffee. The lunch menu offers simple French dishes with fresh market produce. You can ask the waiter to recommend the perfect wine to complement your dish.
Overall an excellent spot for something cheap n cheerful any day of the week. |

In the very heart of Paris, metro Chatelet les halles, you will be served by blind people, in a totally dark atmosphere, this will leave you with a strange feeling, it's a new experience for the senses ! |

whenever you like, all day long, you can mix tradition with quick meals, with healthy sandwiches, fruit desserts ( 5 desserts 100% strawberry ). sit or take away, and enjoy.. |

In the trendy area of Le Marais, you will come back for a salad des utopist, or a tomato tart tatin, or just to enjoy a "philosophy evening". very friendly staff with great sense of attention, good value |

Located in St Germain des pres, ideal for low budget, you get simple but very good food, ideal as well for those who want to speak french, as you might have to share your table! |

Set in an interior garden within the hotel, off A. George V, this place is a sight to behold. A vertical garden runs five stories along one side of the square.
I loved the menu, the winelist, and the staff were superb. It's also "casual dining", so no jackets here. This can be an issue in Paris, where jackets are often required for anything decent.
Only flaw was the cigar smoking nearby, and altho' the French are soon to ban smoking in workplace, given that this is "outside", it may not apply. They sell some pretty decent cigars tho', so if you can't beat 'em...
Decor was nice. It would make me want to come back to the hotel, although I'm always fearful of boutique hotels in places like Paris... rooms don't come with cats for swinging. |

As it's only minutes from the Notre Dame Cathedral, Cafe Panis is a great place for something to eat after visiting it. They do great crepes and are open 24 hours which is very handy if you're in the area after dark! |

This little restaurant is just around the corner from Notre Dame in a little side street in one of the prettiest parts of the 5th arrondissement. Elegant decor but only room for a few tables outside in good weather, which is a pity. The chef is a young man from Normandy and his food is highly accomplished, traditional French with a twist. Well worth going to!
I booked Le Reminet this weekend (21 July), turned up looking forward to a lovely meal and was quite disappointed to hear from the waiter that the chef had left last September... I feared the worst, but I needn't have. Le Reminet's new chef is equally gifted and we had a really lovely meal. It wasn't the cheapest meal I've ever had but it was excellent. Still highly recommended! |

I discovered this little local restaurant about ten years ago and ever since then I've made a point of going back every time I'm in Paris. The owner is a little lady as large as she is tall, called Ginette. She's quite a character to say the least. Her food is honest, traditional French cooking. The place is often full of Americans - it seems to be known in some guidebooks. I particularly like her starter of chicken livers with a raspberry vinaigrette and her main meat dishes too are excellent. Only the best of ingredients - and it shows. The restaurant is also famous for its clafoutis - a kind of dessert and I can vouch for how good it is! The one downside is the price - it has got relatively expensive in the last few years. |

Oh dear, I've had to edit my review because Chez Clovis, an institution in the Les Halles district, is no more... The restaurant has changed hands and name and although Chez Clovis is still outside in big letters, it is not under the same management. I didn't have time to try it this time around, so I cannot recommend the food. What I can say, however, is that any guides you have pointing you in this restaurant's direction are now out of date. A pity. |

This restaurant is no more, alas. I believe it has been taken over by a young chef and renamed but I'm afraid I have no more details to pass on. |

Stepping into this restaurant is like going back in time to the 1950s or 60s - the decor is a little old-fashioned but that adds to the charm of the place. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife team who produce very competent, good quality traditional dishes. Their foie gras starter is very good, for example, as are their fish dishes. |

For a change in Paris, why not try some Spanish food? This little Basque-run restaurant in the rue de sévigné is just around the corner from the chic Place des Vosges and rue des Francs Bourgeois in the Marais area. The food is delicious, and the tapas of the highest quality. The patrons are very friendly and it's an ideal spot for a nice lunch if you are in the area and don't fancy French food. Open on Sunday lunchtimes too, which is a blessing! |

Hmmm, I hate giving a bad review but every so often the behaviour in a place is such that you just have to let people know. I found this restaurant many years ago and had such a pleasant meal there in beautiful Belle Epoque surroundings I went back a number of times with friends, sometimes eating very well, other times a bit less so. Unfortunately, the restaurant in my opinion has got just far too big for its boots. It was owned for a while by the famous Roux brothers. I don't know if it still is, but it has been expanding into neighbouring buildings and now is a pretty big venue. That gives a rather factory-like feel to the place now. Intimate it ain't. On top of that, the last time I went with two friends we arrived at the appointed time only to be told to go away again because the table was still taken and if we went to such and such a bar they'd ring us when it was free. 50 minutes later the phone went and we headed back for dinner. Even a mild apology and thank you would have been nice, but instead we were plonked uncerimoneously by a very curt and unfriendly manageress at a table where we were completely forgotten about for a further 20 minutes before someone finally managed to take our order. Even then, when the food finally came it no longer had that edge the place used to have - it felt very much like stuff produced in a large kitchen that just wasn't quite keeping pace with demand. Sorry to be so negative, because I really did love the place once upon a time, but it won't be getting my business again in a hurry. |

Sumptuous fine dining at its old style best.
The brits know how to do this and Petrus does it best.
Great wine list (surprise!) |

This little bistro style restaurant regularly gets voted the top in its category in the 1st arrondissement by people in the know - those that live there. I can see why. The place is always buzzing with couples, business types and families. It is hardly surprising, because the food is excellent. Very traditional French, often regional specialities, enormous portions (ask the size of the starter before you order it, otherwise you'll never get through the main course!). The house wines are very pleasant although the restaurant has a very good selection of other bottled wines to choose from. There are a few tables outside in good weather but inside has atmosphere too, with its brightly painted yellow walls, the big blackboards they write the menus on, the crowded wooden tables, the lovely old bar and the general hustle and bustle. The waiting staff are also a treat - very pleasant and friendly and a smile that really seems genuine - so rare these days. I can think of a few waiters and waitresses that could do with being trained in the art of hospitality by the staff in Au Vieuw Comptoir... Warmly recommended. |

A meal at the L'Auberge is a truly romantic experience. L'Auberge is the best restaurant in montparnasse within this price range.
The menu follows a classic grilled meal. The menu varies through the year, but i go for the grilled course,
Although a whole meal is way more than I should be eating in one sitting, it's difficult to bypass one of Tony's cookies or squares. I could, though, always get one to eat later....
The wine list is staggering. It's not cheap by any means but dinner here will impress and delight any partner. Pamper yourself and your date in this romantic and exclusive corner of Paris. |

Went to L'Auberge restauranton a Monday (June 11). Although I'm not one to give perfect scores easily, I can't really fault this experience.
We had the appetizer, it was delicious. I ordered the Tenderloin steak. My partner had the grilled meal & loved it. Had a Vanilla meringue custard slice and the Wild cherries and vanilla for dessert.
I tell you I'm the harshest critic in the world and I couldn't find fault with anything. Go you'll love it! I hear dinners are even better, more expansive menu & more desserts to choose from. We'll be going back one evening for sure.
Although there are some restaurants I've eaten at in montparnasse that may be on par food-wise, none occupy the 'fine contemporary dining' niche that L'Auberge has. Well worth the expense. |

On Friday when deciding where to go, we head about L'Auberge restaurant in The montparnasse. I had never heard of it before, then searched for it on the internet and discovered this site.
We have eaten in many good restaurants at Paris. Some have good food, some good service, some good wines! Never have we been to a place theat EXCELS in good staff, food, wines, atmosphere & music. Everything was perfect. It truly made for a night we will never forget. The grilled meat was really tasty and fresh. Overall the food was good.
The service was fast and attentive, very very good. We will definitely return again and again. Other than that it was the perfect night! |

We arrived on a Saturday night and there was a 20 minute wait, which I half expected although I have never waited for lunch. But in the end it is all worth it, because you are after all waiting for some of the best grilled food. The appetizer was very good, fried, warm, creamy and tasty, with a great dipping sauce. the grilled meal was amazing, a wonderful flavors. The dessert was a perfect ending to a great meal.
so, If you like grilled meal go to L'Auberge, heck even if you don't like grilled food, L'Auberge might change your
mind. |

I loved the grilled meal and The red wine Saumur Champigny les Antides added complex, traditional, delicious flavors.
The Salade tiède aux gésiers de canard confits were also good. The Salade tiède aux gésiers de canard confits was of good quality and plentiful. We even found ourselves feasting on the fresh and delicious. It's hard to justify the price, but considering the inputs, the price seemed about right. The service was well-timed and thoughtful.
While we sat inside, it was a perfect night, and we should have taken advantage of their spacious patio seating. |

Great restaurant/cafe at Place d'Anvers, near the Sacre Coeur. We were staying at the hotel next door so had lunch here twice. Staff were so friendly. Food was really good for the price. They have big range of dishes from sandwiches, salads to chicken and steak dishes. Nice local cafe. |

Went back to L'Auberge, what a great new place to eat and drink in montparnasse.
The staff was attentive and friendly, the food (grilled meal) was supurbly prepared. Desserts rivaled anything in the great restaurants of the world. But even without all that, the ambiance and view are worth the effort to visit this neat place. |

I have travel to Paris with family and friend eight times in the past twenty years, being the last trip this month. The L'Auberge Restaurant is one of the best in the montparnasse, and best of all the people that serve you. When you are at the L'Auberge just go gor for the grilled meal, they are delicious. |

One thing they all have in common is this is a great place to come for multi generational good time. There are only a few places in the city that do the flaming anything anymore. they have a large section of the menu devoted to french My grilled meal was ok, my starter included Salmon and basil carpaccio . It was great, because I got a good sampling of the menu. Everything was amazing, pretty good and nothing disgusting.
L'Auberge will continue to be a popular restaurant in Paris, Montparnasse. They have plenty of safe, french dishes. |

Nice narrow restaurant for sushi or a bento box. Food was great, but the service was very slow. The location is great if you are walking around among the shops in the area. |

Wonderful trendy and bohemian restaurant and bar in the 18th, not far from metro Lamarck/Caulaincourt (Line 12). Not too big, friendly and efficient staff, tables outside so lovely when the sun is shining. This is a perfect place for a Sunday brunch or just lunch any day... |

This may be nothing more than a glorified fast food place that sells baguettes, but it's on the Champs Elysées meaning you can say you ate on Paris' most exclusive boulevard. |

A nice italian restaurant ideally located Avenue George V, at half way between the Champs-Elysées and the Eiffel Tower. |

A nice restaurant with a peaceful, calm and sunny atmosphere.
Dishes are good and use carefully chosen products. |

Best meal I have ever had, in a great bistro restaurant near Notre Dame. Lovely atmosphere. You have to book in advance though. |
