A well know French restaurant, it is a good idea to make a reservation prior to arriving. The menu is extensive and there is a wide choice, along with this there is a fine wine list and a good cheese selection as well.

I found this restaurant many years ago and had such a pleasant meal there in beautiful Belle Epoque surroundings I went back a number of times with friends, sometimes eating very well, other times a bit less so. Unfortunately, the restaurant in my opinion has got just far too big for its boots. It was owned for a while by the famous Roux brothers. I don't know if it still is, but it has been expanding into neighbouring buildings and now is a pretty big venue. That gives a rather factory-like feel to the place now. Intimate it ain't. On top of that, the last time I went with two friends we arrived at the appointed time only to be told to go away again because the table was still taken and if we went to such and such a bar they'd ring us when it was free. 50 minutes later the phone went and we headed back for dinner. Even a mild apology and thank you would have been nice, but instead we were plonked uncerimoneously by a very curt and unfriendly manageress at a table where we were completely forgotten about for a further 20 minutes before someone finally managed to take our order. Even then, when the food finally came it no longer had that edge the place used to have - it felt very much like stuff produced in a large kitchen that just wasn't quite keeping pace with demand. Sorry to be so negative, because I really did love the place once upon a time, but it won't be getting my business again in a hurry.close
