Its a pretty awesome area, as in not sketchy. Its really close to the metro. The room was very cute and comfortable. the tv actually worked. It wasnt creepy coming back by yourself later in the day, even for a girl.

5 min walk to metro, 6 stops on the metro to the city center, parking was 24 euros for 3 nights in an underground lot. it meets its expectations as a budget hotel.

reception is much less than friendly - it was a big deal for the guy to give me brief directions. thin walls. not terrible accomodations but I would look elsewhere for a 1st choice

I stayed in a single room, so I felt a little bit like in a hotel rather than hostel. Very nice room. Helpful and frienly staff. Very interesting door to the shower:-) About five minutes on foot from the metro station, additional fifteen with the metro train to the centre. Summing up, definitely...

The cleaning women obviously work very had to keep this older building up to cleanliness standards. We showed up a bit early, and they were still working, but very nice and accommodating.

The hotel's fine but I never saw a toilet their and it only one shower from what I saw for the entire hotel. The rooms are small but fine. I wouldn't be opposed to staying there again but I think I would rather stay closer to the city center next time.

Location isn't near the tourist things but metro and bust stop are very close by and the hotel is pretty easy to find. Rooms are clean and I felt perfectly safe there (and I was travelling alone.) It was cold when I was there and the heating wasn't all that great but there were lots of blankets...

the reservation was made at the wrong hotel ermitage (we wanted to stay at the one in rue Lamarck) and so we never did find out where the other one was and the hotel we wanted was full.

If you are looking for a lively place to meet other people then i dont suggest you stay here although it is by lots of bars, restaurants and shops. The metro is 10 mins away on foot and then it takes 10 mins on that to the center of paris so that was really good.Has a laundrette and 2 supermarkets by it so thats ideal. After a day out the rooms are always cleaned and its good because if you want a lie-in then the housekeeping doesnt come until 12 noon or so. The only problem i found was the stairs and there being no lift. I had to lug a massive camping bag up 7 flights and i actually nearly died.I dont think they offer help as every other person i saw had to do the same so believe me you will be ALOT fitter when checking out.Good for your money and a pleasure to stay at i'd recommend it to anyone.Man on the front desk was very helpful too.close

Its about cheap accomodiation not far from the centre of paris (and close to the fun chinatown area of paris). If you need a break from sharing If you want or need a private single room, then this place is damn good for the price in paris. Its certainly cleaner and more comfortable than many hostels I have stayed at. Biggest downside is that the private single rooms are six floors up without a lift.close

The only bad thing about this place is that there is no lift and if you stay on the 6th floor like I did, you have to take the steep stairs. Nasty, especially when you leave something behind and have to go back up. The area is nice and quiet but is a few stops away from the center.

Nice neighbourhood - internet cafe over road and really nice brasserie further down road. Long Metro ride to centre (eiffel tower, Louvre) but not far to Montmartre, Pere Lachaise.

The metro station is a little farther from the main attractions in Paris but convenience is not really a problem. Located near several cute restaurants, pattiseries, a supermarket and coin op laundry which is a plus. My major qualm was my room was on the sixth (top) floor and there is NO ELEVATOR. If you stay here for a short time, I would suggest packing a day bag as they have pretty secure luggage storage so you don't have to lug all your stuff up the stairs. No ensuite bathroom but they do give you a sink. I didn't use the shower, it didn't look too too bad, but not too welcoming either. The toilets were not too clean but usable. Apart from that, the room looks like a regular european budget hotel room. The staff speaks very little english but there isn't much need to communicate with them anyway. All in all, not bad for the price I paid. Liked the option of a private twin room, so its an affordable option for a single traveller.close

Even though our room wasn't cleaned yet they still let us put our bags in there and use the room to change. The building is in an okay area, but at night I wouldn't want to walk around there alone- there aren't too many people around. The rooms are super small, and the bathroom was the tiniest thing imaginable. Your knees literally touch the wall when you sit on the toilet and it is not possible to stand over the sink all the way, bc the toilet is in the way. The bed was comfortable enough though. If you just need a place for the night, it would be great, but I wouldn't advise staying there for a long period of time. There is a metro stop within a five minute or less walk, which is convenient, but it takes at least 30-40 minutes to take the metro into the center of Paris where all the sights are. One good thing about this place is they don't have a curfew so if you want to stay out all night it would be good to pick here instead of somewhere that has lockout after 2am.close

The absence of a lift was greatly missed as carrying a heavy bag up to the 4th floor was a bit of a trial! I enjoyed my stay there however, it was good value for money with an ensuite shower and toilet between the two of us and a good starting point for our tour of the capital!

Kind of out there, but close enough to the Jourdain metro. Tiny but clean and staff spoke enough English to help us. Not dangerous, but not affluent neighborhood. Local patisseries and fruit vendors help its stock.
