Yes, there are those shops (and loiterers) outside, but there is also a lot of good restaurants and brasseries. I wouldn't feel safe to go out alone at night there, but with company it was OK. We found most of the staff very rude, but at least there was always someone at reception.

Need to provide much bigger towels (they were hand towel size). Paying for a shower is ridiculous Limiting shower times was a real hassle No fans or air con (very hot). Rooms etc were clean Staff were friendly Great location for central paris

We had a really great time! Wonderfull location, really cheap and crepes just around the corner! Though some of the staff-members was kind of rude. But all in all it was excellent!

The hotel is not in the best area of Paris - in fact it is the red light district! However, it is very central - near to the Pompideau Centre and Notre Dam. We were a little worried when we first arrived as we thought we might have stumbled across a brothel in the guise of a hotel - BUT THIS WAS NOT THE CASE! The staff were extremely efficient and the hostel spotlessly clean. The main desk was manned 24 hours a day. We'd definitely stay there again.close

Very convenient location. Rooms are tiny but clean. There are many sex shops and prostitutes on the same street... I would never stay there again but it could have been worse.

It was a nice place overall. I think that the location is the best thing about it and for the mone you do get what you paid for and on a tight budget you can't ask for more. It is annoying when you have to give the key every time you leave the room but the convenience of place really makes it...

The staff is great and its central location is great. Though it is on a sort of shady street. The rooms are minimal but it gets the job done.

You will get what you pay. If you expect romantic stay with your spouse, you should pay more (e.g. at least 3 star) at another place. Otherwise, the hotel was quite in night and around there are many restaurants and stores. English OK

you can't beat the location or the price, as far as quality goes, you get what you pay for. Great if you just need a place to sleep, but are more focused on seeing Paris and being in the middle of it all.

the walls are too thin, you can hear what everyone is doing in the other rooms. maybe you could do something about that. Also the staff wasn't very friendly and there is no elevator and no one offered to help us with our very heavy bags although the stairs are very steep.

It's pretty noisy at night cause it's right next to a mall and the walls aren't very thick. It's not for anyone looking for elegance, but for the price, it was relatively reasonable. The location is very good for getting around Paris.
