The Hotel is located in a ghetto-like area of Paris, but in close proximity to the Metro. Sheets were soiled, the shower was incredibly small with exposed plumbing, and the staff were disorganised (security breach and error on account). If your budget allows, stay closer to central Paris.

good place to stay - on the border of montmarte & a slightly dodgier suburb - but definately not an unsafe place to stay! breakfast not included. if you are a budget traveller can get cheaper accom elsewhere (eg many places in voltaire),

Very clean. It turned out to be a hotel. 45 euro for a 2 person room and private bathroom. Very nice rooms. You will not meet anyother people here to hang out with. Far from everything except the metro station. To many god damn Indians!

Enjoyed our star, however the drainage in the shower did not work properly. Had to keep showering down to no more than 3 or so minutes as bottom of shower would overflow rather quickly, otherwise good place to stay!

It's a cheap hotel that's decent enough. Unfortunately, some one had left the bath running in one of the rooms and water got everywhere, and since I was downstairs the guy at the desk asked me to help him take care of it. I didn't mind. Other than that it was not a bad place to stay.

The hotel was pretty nice and cheap considering we got our own room and bathroom.. but the location wasnt too great... not that it matters because there is a metro every 20 feet and its only a 5 minute metro ride to all the cool places!

Its about an hours walk to the centre of Paris but don't let that put you off. Take the Metro. You pay what you get really. You're not paying a lot because its not in central Paris!

I stayed 3nights in this hotel and was bitten by bedbugs. Bedsheets looked clean but mattresses didn't. I changed the room but it was only for last night. Staff were kind but couldn't give any help when I asked how I got to CHD airport or how long it took. Very disappointing.

The staff were excellent - really helpful and able to speak enough english to make life a little easier. The bathroom was tiny but functional (lots of hot water too). The towels were changed everyday with soap and shampoo provided. Our beds were made each morning which was lovely to come back to after a busy day's sightseeing. The road below was a bit noisy but the windows were double glazed so it was no problem at night. There is a Monoprix supermarket about 5 mins walk down the road from which we were able to purchase pre-made salads/sandwiches/baguettes etc to keep breakfast and lunch costs down. There are also a range of cheap places to eat nearby and the metro is only two minutes walk away (if you are there for a week get a 'carte orange' and a weekly ticket- much cheaper than a 'paris viste' but you will need a passport photo for the card). For the price this hotel is a real little gem. We would happily stay there again.close

But, on the whole the room was clean, though rather anonymous and even spartan. The area is ok with some cheap eats (mainly asian style) but a bit dull compared to areas south of Gare du Nord. It's close enough to Montemartre to make the richness of restaurants there available at 10-15 min's walk. The cafe even right outside the hostel was strictly trench and we had terrible trouble knowing only a small amount, getting food and drinks and necessities in this area of paris. The room was teenie, a bit cold, and had a very hard bed. The shower was fine the first night, the next it filled up and became an overflowing showerstall/bath disaster. We asked for a wakeup call at 9am and a breakfast for 5.50Euros and when 1pm rolls around and our day is ruined and there's no coffee or food left and no one knows what we're talking about (as they carry a tray of coffee and bread away from us), we're pissed and off to walk the terribly lond, bumpy streets to ride on the horrible subway system to get to the louvre, which was the only place I'd recommend being in paris i fyou have to go at al. No lifts, teenie stairs, horrible roads, gangs roaming around, not a place to stay for an unarmed american. We were afried we were going to have to get in streetfights to get back into the hostel. Avoid this place, though the cute heavier dark skinned guy was tremendously helpful about food, cigarettes and absinthe stores. Sorry I cannot remember your name, thank you.close
