The heating did not work, the room was very small. They said check out was at 11 and they kept on beating the door... the good points were a good shower :) and the excellent location.

Not worth the money. No elevator, staff was not helpful, and clean towels are hard to come by. I'm not very picky, and I was very disappointed with this hotel.

room was a bit hot but that's pretty common. nice shower but the bathroom didn't have ventilation which meant very foggy mirrors- All very minor things though. Overall I'd reccommend it to anyone on a moderate budget who doesn't want to risk it in a hostel. The location is good and the staff...

Also in our room there was only one outlet in the washroom - for 4 people.close

Located near lots of bars and case. The room was small and the walls were paper thin.

The room was very small and there was practically no room to move around the bed. It was sort of stinky, and not clean. It also was a bit far away from the main touristy attractions, however, very close to local night life. I wouldn't stay at this hostel again.

I recommend that families ask for a room at the rear of the building facing the much cooler and quieter atrium - something the staff suggested as we left (!)close

If you make the smallest attempt to speak French, something as little as asking if they speak English, the people are much more welcoming than the stereotypes have made them to be, so ask (palay voo anglais) - pronounciation not spelling - and youll be better off. Hostel is very close to subway and the trains are not too difficult to figure out, you can travel anywhere in a fairly short amount of time, say 45 minutes tops. Hotel is secure, although only 1 key per room can be a bit annoying, the front door is locked at night so only those with keys can gain access to the hotel. close

The nighttime staff when we first arrived was very rude and unhelpful. When we were checking out it took the inept staff forever to figure out how much we owed them even after we showed them on the paper how much we owed. The man didnt understand if it was the correct amount even though the paper said "amount due." It took him more than 2 hours to be convinced - we ended up going out to dinner because we were sick of waiting. As for the accomadations, the rooms are small and depressing. We expected 4 single beds and they only provided 2 double beds. Then, when they made us change one of our rooms they wouldnt clean the second one (which initially had the males of our group, but when we switched had the females). We had to argue with them and eventually they cleaned it. The location is not really close to anything of interest except is it relatively close to a metro stop. One more thing - there is no elevator and the stairs they do have are so narrow that it is practically impossible to drag a suitcase up them. I would not suggest staying here unless you want a big headache and a miserable environment.close

The rooms are very small and dark and a bit dingy, but for the price, it is reasonable, as long as you intend to spend most of your time out of the hotel. The area is excellent--walking distance from notre dame, louvre, etc, and with a great night life, cafes, etc all around. Kind and helpful staff.

Clean rooms, very good location, right in the heart of the bar-and-restaurant-rich Bastille district. Metro was very close, easy to get to all the sights. Despite a worryingly flimsy door and lack of a deadbolt, there were no issues with security (the desk clerk told us there had yet to be one room broken into or one article reported stolen in the six years he'd worked there, which if true is encouraging). Due to the location and the facts that the bars stay open until 5am, it can get pretty noisy outside, so bring some earplugs. Other than that, not much else to say. Very recommended.close
