For the price you pay it's an excelent place, the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Although the restroom inside the bedroom is very small, the location is a great compensation. Very central, definitely would stay there a hundred times.

That said, the general location is great and only a short walk or metro ride from most of the major sights. Decent hotel for its price, but with hindsight I'd probably have booked a better hotel I saw on special offer, but with a slightly poorer location. There's no lift, so be prepared for some gruelling late night stair-climbing.close

The keyboard did not even work properly. The male host was nice, but the female was a complete french snob! All in all, I have blacklisted this hostel and would be giving my euro cents worth!close

Yet weird though it may seem, it was perfectly safe to come and go at any time of the day, so this may only be a drawback for those looking for something a bit more glamourous or elegant. The location itself is pretty good -a few blocks away from Les Halles-, so this is a good base to go around Paris. You can even visit many key spots by foot and cross over to the Rive Gauche and Latin Quarter in less than half an hour. The staff is cool and the rooms are pretty nice as well, specially the ones overlooking the street.close

Very good price, but not as clean as the other hostels we stayed in our vacation around europe (dust increasing under the bed during our stay) . We stayed in a room ensuite and the bathroom was very, very, very small. Bath with only curtains. You can easily wash all the bathroom having a bath. Breakfast is good (5 or 6,5 euros depending your hungry), but you can buy a better one some meters ahead on the same street (a bakery on the same St DENIS street near SEBASTPOL - better, cheaper and fresh croissants and breads) Good staff regarding Alan. The other guy seemed not to be interested in our questions. FREE internet, but the keyboard was awful (almost out of order). There are 6 floors without lift.
