We were unlucky with the weather as it rained the entire time we were there. It was cold and no heat to dry our clothes although the owners kindly loaned us ponchos.

Little paradise inbetween the forest and the sea. I went to stay 2 nights and ended up staying 12. Sea and Forest hostel in Trindade is a small paradise on earth. The well designed wood cabins are in the Mata jungle. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The friendly owners are helpful and will draw you maps of the plentiful locations you can go to (beautiful beaches... more Sea and Forest hostel in Trindade is a small paradise on earth. I was suppose to stay 3 nights and stayed 10. Loved the location, the people, the breakfasts and the yoga courses. Enjoy it!close

Even though Trinidade is a safe place to stay, it would be good if there was a safe or somewhere secure for valuables in the rooms. The social area needs to be away from where people are sleeping, as those of us in the two doublerooms were kept awake until the early hours of the morning by...

you would think the hostel was not in a good location as it was away from town, but it was in a great place. in walking distance from rain forest trails which is what i came to that area for. staff were really helpful and nice to talk to. i love the way they just drew me maps on the spot...

The hostel is very good, It's organized and it has very good appearance, nice wooden bunks with excelent mattresses. Everything is new and clean, even the bathrooms. The owners are talkative, friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is amazing and quiet, perfect to relax and enjoy the nature.... more The hostel is very good, It's organized and it has very good appearance, nice wooden bunks with excelent mattresses. A lovely retreat which is set amongst the forest and very very near to the beach. Clean wooden bunks and plenty of space including a big kitchen and great amenities. Really lovely setting. Would highly recommend this place!!

Good hostel but located up a dark forest lane not with no lighting. The lack of air con and tiny fans means things get a bit hot and bring some mozzie spray if your not keen on mosquitos. However the surroundings are lovely, staff helpful and the place is fairly clean.

The hostel was excellent and we loved chatting to the owners. The surroundings are amazing and we could sit and watch the wildlife for hours. Thanks for a great stay.

A very nice comfortable hostel, with friendly staff and nice location. 2 mins to the beach and town center. Located in Trinidade, not in Paraty, but a recommended stay if you are in Paraty. Good breakfeast and nice rooms. Two thumbs up

Great out of city hostel. Paraty is still very easy and quick to get to as well....but why. Beaches, town, owners and hostel are all unreal. Try to leave Trindade and the hostel early and you wont be happy.

This hostel was just PERFECT!! Ive been traveling around 15 different countries for the last 6 months and this is definatly my favorite hostel of all of them. I also loved the little town. If you are heading to Paraty, stay here, is much nicer!!! I loved it, what else can I say?!!!

Avoid arriving at night, it is very hard to find and busses stop from Paraty to Trindade after 11pm, which only leaves you with the expensive option of a cab ride! This is the best hostel we have stayed at in 5 months travelling, we didnt want to leave. The owners are so friendly and will do everything they can to help you find what you need. Hostel is in such a beautiful location and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Amazing , great hostel with a great vibe. It is run very well , both relaxed and professional. Clean and welcoming . I Would love to come back , i recommend at least 5 nights . beaches are awesome ..great place for Carnival ... massive table in general building great to meet others etc ...

Excellent place to stay, the hostel is really clean and the owners are really helpful and interesting to talk to. I thought I was booking a hostel in Paraty itself and this is one of the best mistakes I ever made!

nice place, but because of the damp forest, the rooms didn´t smell that fresh. And the fact that they didn´t change the linen for 5 days didnt help either. besides that: nice place in the jungle, fun people. Beware though that trindade is no longer a small quiet fisherman´s village.

Beautiful hostel set in an ideallic location. The owners are lovely and will help you with any query or will point you in the direction of some beautiful waterfalls! :) Just bring yourself and relax!

We highly recommend this hostel because of the beautiful environment and houses in the forrest. The couple who have the hostel are very nice and can tell you a lot of the history of Trindade. If we would come back to Trindade we will surely stay at Sea and Forrest Hostel. /Hanna and Carin Sweden
