A great little hostel right by the river. Some of the rooms are too small for the number of beds in them. Tours from the hostel are great.

A very nice place with a character. The location is excellent for winter, in summer you may be bothered by mosquitoes as it´s very close to the river. Staff is friendly and relaxed. Worth trying out.

Cool little place, staff were friendly although you might need to brush up on your Portuguese a bit. Location wise its great, right on the river the boat trip was great, well worth a stay if you just want to relax and get some peace.

The Hostel was in the best location to enjoy it all; beers by the river at night most relaxing.

Hostel was nice, bit of a smell in private room. The boat trip organised by the hostel was the highlight, well worth doing!

Nice place to stay. I met nice people and had lots of fun. They have just one big problem, they don´t accept credit cards and didn´t told us before the check-out.

Great hostel, nice location on the river. The boat trip that the hostel organises is really fun and good value. Good breaky, and very clean but my bunk bed was extremely uncomfortable.

However we did not fancy it much, the most of the staff seemed rather arrogant when we asked them for help (except for ene guy). The toilet and shower, which were shared between twelve people (and used as a common toilet for people in the kitchen and at the terrace), often did not flush well enough so there would be `left overs` from other peoples previous visits. The beds were poor - the madresses were thin and woren out, the bedsheets smelled like my sandals (after four months of travelling - a bit like wet dog). When we arrived we handed in some laundry, 36 hours later it was done. Besides that the price that you have to pay is not excluded the ten percent you alreasdy payed for your booking through hostelworld. So you have to pay full price and ten percent for your booking (when booked through hostelworld), for some reason we were never told. Regards Lars Lundgaardclose

Hostel was very cute and had heaps of character. I only spent one night there so didn't have chance to really suss it out but would have liked more time really.

Tiny bedroom (and one of the beds in the four-bed-room was a doublebed..). The hostel had a wonderful setting by the riverside and it is close to the historic centre. The outdoor area was really nice.

This hostel has character. Cool staff, and the breakfast is just awesome. The only thing is that the bed linen was old and had apots all over. Besides, one of our mattresses was too thin - very uncomfortable.

Bed was uncomfortable and sheets were scratchy. Very noisy as social area is right outside bedrooms. Asked to move rooms but they said no so checked out after one night

Very diappointed. It was too rowdy, the rooms were riduculously cramped! there was 2 bunk beds and a dohble bed in one room. We were made to pay for and share a double bed when it was only meant for one (it was meant to be a dorm of 5).
