The Kaissara Hostel is located in the stunningly beautiful village of Trindade, just 25km south of Paraty (halfway between Rio and Sao Paulo). Trindade is still relatively unknown by most foreign backpackers but for those in the know it is one of the most pristine and unspoilt paradises on the Brazilian coast. Trindade is home to some of the most dazzling beaches in the entire country and has some of the state's best surf. The village is sandwiched between steep, rainforest covered mountains and the turquoise Atlantic Ocean. Anyone who appreciates nature and natural beauty will find it hard to be under-whelmed by the visual spectacle that Trindade offers. As well as great beaches and surf there are also the famous natural swimming pools and several waterfalls. It is the perfect place to come and chill out and enjoy nature. The small hostel is surround by rainforest and has room for just 14 guests. It was designed specifically this way to create a more personal and family style atmosphere. The two mixed dorm rooms make up 10 of the beds available, one for 6 people and the other for 4 people. They each have an en suite bathroom with hot showers and individual lockers for guests to store their valuables. There are also 2 private rooms available for couples, both with en suite bathrooms. The hostel's kitchen is clean, extremely well equipped and can be used at your leisure. Other amenities include, stereo, sky tv, dvd player, bbq and a laundry service. We can organise boat trips and surf lessons in the local area as well as boat trips around Paraty and tours to other waterfalls in the area

The town Trindade is still untouched by foreign tourists and is a calm and chilled out during the day, but with a surprisinlgy good nightlife on the beach. Go there before it's to late!close

Trinidade is a stunning place and you won't regret staying here. The hostel is excellent and the owner/tour guide/drinking buddy, George, makes you feel right at home!

Awesome hostal--Julio was nice and super helpful. The only downside was the SUPER noisy neighbours who kept us awake all night long. Comfie rooms, but we left exhausted from no sleep. Beautiful surroundings, but don´t go here looking for a quiet sleep.

Nice hostel in a lovely little town. The staff make a real effort to show you the sites (particularly stuff you mightn´t find yourself).

This is one of the best hostels I´ve stayed in. The owner George is more than helpful and went out of his way every day to take us to beaches and waterfalls, or cook in the evening.
