Paraty Bed & Breakfast is a great option for those who are looking for something different to Hostels. A home-like environment offering privacy and tranquility at the same price as beds in a hostel dorm. A great place to re-charge your batteries after all those long bus rides or a long day taking advantage of all the great activities that Paraty has to offer. Spacious private rooms with en-suite bathrooms and comfortable beds just 50 metres form the Historic Centre. Every morning breakfast is served around the table with fresh bread, cereal, cake, cheese, ham, jam, cream cheese, fruit, juice, milk, coffee, and more. Interesting conversation and so much to eat you wont feel hungry again all day long. A nice lounge with free internet access for emailing the family, planning your next move and of course checking up on the weather, which if all fails and the rain does come pouring down there a dvd collection and book exchange with something for evryone, even a Harry Potter in Japanesse for anyone who wants to give it a go. Whether you just want to make a cup of tea, put some beers in the fridge or cook up some fresh sea food that you have just bought from the pier, we have a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal. English speaking staff are available every morning for any questions or problems you might have and of course to offer suggestions on what you can do while in Paraty. Paraty has beautiful beaches, some thriving with tourists and some completely deserted. Lovely islands with daily schooner trips making up one of the best tours around. Paraty is surrounded by mountains and rainforest offering some other options. Activities here include bike hire, jeep tours, schooner trips, diving, horse riding, kayaking, eco-trekking, car hire.... all of which we can arrange for you. A cheaper ensuite room with free internet and such a big breakfast only 50 metres from the Historic Centre is pretty hard to find, so come and tell us if you agree.

Generally the place was fairly clean and the breakfast was good and plentiful. What got us most was the misdirection of the owner and distinct lack of atmosphere of the place. The staff are friendly but seem to just hang out in the place of an evening which can leave you feeling a little awkward. I wouldn't say don't stay here as it is cheap and clean, but fore-arned is fore-armed!close

Roupas de cama inadequadas. O edredon já está completamente velho e sujo. Muitos mosquitos e sem produto para combatê-los. O café da manhã poderia ter produtos de melhor qualidade.

This was a great place to stay - my overall mark was brought down by fun but this isnt a criticism - I loved having a quiet, peaceful haven to come back to at the end of the day. It would have been nice to see the English owner occasionally because the local girls who worked there didnt speak...

A good place to stay in Paraty. The owner speaks English and does his best to provide information. Close to the historic center, but far enough to be calm.

Fine, even though it was on a street which looked like it´d get busy the only real noise at night was the staff watching TV in the common room at ear splitting volume. Breakfast was good and the kitchen well equipped.

English manager was never there and not particuarly helpful. good location, nice breakfast. dvd player broken ( shame for the wet days) , and ignore the email about a personal pick up from bus stn , write down st name and get directions . All in all a nice stay but not enhanced by English staffs...

Good quality room, excellent shower and helpful staff. The christmas bbq was very good. Slight issue with the laundry service though, a little more information before hand would have avoided the situation. Other than that, a nice place and run by good people.

It was good location, close to the bus station and just a block from the old town. Of course, it´s often the other people staying somewhere that help make it, and this was definately the case, as we all became good friends during this week, helped by the boat trip that John organised for us all. Breakfasts were great, and John was very helping assisting with advice and other arrangements. Just talk to him about the football and he will be your friend for life! Recommended.close

Nice place. Very clean and the owner speaks English (as he is English). A little on the mellow side if you are looking for party scene, but they have a nice kitchen and the owner has no probs if you invite other guests to socialize (which is a rarity).
