The family-owned, budget Hostal Planells is set in a central location close to bars, restaurants and nightlife, 250 metres from the sandy beach. The hostel features 28 simply decorated guestrooms with dark wood furniture. All include balconies, safes and private bathrooms. The half-board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast and dinner each day. The front desk is staffed around the clock, and Internet access is available in the lobby for a surcharge. Guests can also rent bicycles and scooters at the hostel to explore the surrounding area, and spend time on the sandy beach, 250 metres away. Palma city centre with its many sights is 12 kilometres from the hostel. Palma de Mallorca Airport is eight kilometres from the property, a 20-minute drive. Advise about arrival time. Our stay was the best! I stayed with my friend for 12 days to celebrate our diploma with some partying, and we had the best vacation ever. The staff was very nice. The hostel furnishings are poor, the doors patched up after damage. The shower was dirty in a very cramped space. Noise was horrendous, after midnight people running around banging doors, shouting loudly, playing music very loudly. The breakfast was taken at Hotel Salpi, everything as cheap as possible. the coffee machine gave out some horrible tasting liquid that was disgusting. I will definitely not be using this hostel ever again. VERY POOR !!!close
