Sheets were filthy.blood stains.(Need I say more) it was quite disgusting so we slept in our clothes..we would not stay there again....not even a few hours

A nice little place, very friendly owners, lots of pets if you like that sort of thing, a great kitchen, good facilities, and very friendly place. Only downside is dorms are a little small.

A lovely place to stay! It's quiet, friendly and relaxed, and the parrot, dogs and cats add a real homely touch. The free breakfast and tea/coffee is a nice touch too. The kitchen area is nice and big (my only minor quibble is that the cooker hob is a bit dodgy) and like the showers, lounge... more A lovely place to stay! This is a really great hostel. Marion is amazing and cooks the best banana cake! The kitchen is the cleanest we've seen so far.

I have to say that the Pickled Parrot offered fantastic value for money! Yes, our room was a little small, but thats often the luck of the draw when you stay in a hostel. The two people that run it (sorry, names escape me!) were informative and curteous, and I thought the noise curfew was...

I thoroughly enjoyed staying here, it was a lovely and clean backpackers with everything you require and the breakfast in the morning was great.

They were very cruel to my son and me. Their website was not honest when they said they were child friendly. They refused to give us the room we booked because I had a child and said I had to get an expensive private room or get out! Although I chose them because they had pickup service, they left my 10 year old son and myself with 6 heavy bags to carry while we searched the streets for alternative lodging.close

I only stayed here one evening but thought it was a great hostel. The owner/manager was fantastic at suggesting outings. Very nice place.

an excellent quiet and cosey place with good facillitys and a strict 2300hrs quiet time....free breakfast is good and the large BBq and cortyard are great. a short walk from the beach and lively bars..

Would be nice not to have a TV in the communal area as discourages conversation. Good size kitchen/level of appliances. Short walk to centre of town. The parrot is pretty cool- started nibbling at my shoelaces... Good free breakfast. Staff are reasonablty helpful/pretty good selection of...
