Oslo is cute and easy to get around! Great for shopping Scandinavian design and trying weird fish dishes. Very expensive though! Great cafe culture, but not too exciting in the evenings. |

Nice scandinavian city, safe and lots of sea and nice architecture.
Cons. Prices + lots of old drunken seamen in the spring. The latter is a matter of taste, I suppose ;) |

Beautiful but expensive city. |

Oslo, while reasonably pleasant and possessing an excellent transportation system, is really just another European city. There's not so much to see, so one day is probably enough for the museums, etc. |

Expensive city but worth visiting. Frogner park will blow your mind. Not to mention the eyecandy! WOW! |

I was shocked at how expensive everything was from a bottle of water to a single tram ride. I knew it was going to be expensive but not THAT expensive. I didn't understand why a litre of petrol cost so much? I thought the city would be more modern, which surprised me. |

Nice place to visit if you can afford it, lots to keep you busy for a few days at least. |

I like Oslo very much, I think it's a beautiful city with mountains, beach, and a lot of activities to do. Don't forget to visit the museums and some island near Oslo. |

I was in Oslo as a tourist during Nobel weekend. Great time of year to be in the city. Lot's going on! Even hit a warm spell... |

Oslo is an interesting meld of ancient culture and modern city. Weather falls on the extremes, but either covered in snow or a brilliant green, Norway is beautiful. Pack for the weather, be prepared to spend A LOT of money (Oslo rivals London for top dollar) and make sure you visit the Viking Ship Museum (Vikingskipshuset) and the Norsk Folkenmuseum on Bygdoy. |

While most sights and other purchases were in line with other countries, the food was extremely expensive. Try to stay in a place that includes breakfast to save a bit. The major sights are in different parts of the city, so plan to use public transportation. Oslo was very nice, but I think I'd rather see some other parts of Norway. |

Quite expensive and small. Worth seeing but a weekend is probably enough. |

Too expensive. |

As with all of norway its expensive, but i love this city such a nice change from the rest of europes capitals, a realy different sort of experience and people |

A very pretty city, friendly people and a good range of shops. A great place for a relaxed trip. |

The staff in tourism centre sucks. They know nothing about Oslo. They are super laid back and don't take initiative to help you find out information. The staff of train station gave wrong information to us and caused us lots of inconvenience. What the hell is going on?! the stimuulator inside olympic ski museum is totally amazing, 50NK, 5 mins "MAKE YOUR DREAM COMES TRUE" ride is supposed to give u the experience of jump-ski at |30 km/hr , but it end up like riding on a shaking sofa, watching FOXsports program. SPEECHLESS ... but the new year eve in Oslo is really enjoyable. The whole city went crazy, fireworks everywhere, even next to your head. no policemen, only ambulances and firemen. Idiot playing paper guitor on the street...can't stop laughing. |

i came for sightseeing and touring around oslo. but i find there was really nothing much to see, the museums were boring and the whole place was so gloomy. i was here on a weekend but the place was dead on weekends and none of the shops were open on sundays. not a good trip for me, but i would say the norwegians are very nice people. cheers. |

very very expensive |

A great little city with plenty to do sightseeing wise, but everything's just so expensive, eating out is £20 plus per person everywhere from classy restaurant on the main trendy street, to a little back street cafe. Alcohol is really expensive from £5-8 for a lager, wine is £30 plus a bottle and Spirits are £8-10 for a shot. Pepsi, Coke all £3-5 for 500ml bottle. Airport transfer from Torp, £25 return and the Oslo pass was the only value for money item at £40 for three days unlimited travel and entry to all Museums, so that was good but everything else, is expensive so beware, plenty of spending money required! |

Loads to see and do, particularly the sculpture park and the museums but food and alcohol was really pricey |
|

Its a good time if you have lots of money (aka not a depreciating dollar) and the weather is nice. |

 |
Nice enough city but has too many bums harrassing you for money. Viking ship musuem and fortress are worth it |

There are great things to see (especially for art-lovers, as the Munch Museum, though small, is spectacular), but the city itself didn't make the best impression on me. Most importantly, it's incredibly expensive. Painfully so. Still, the art is wonderful and there are some very cool neighborhoods and parks. |

A special place... |

I though it would be cold weather but it was SOOO sunny! |
|
|
 |
Snowed for four days straight. I loved it, but VERY expensive |

It's expensive, find a grocery store and cook your own dinner. Bring a lunch with you for you day of sightseeing. Visit an island. Oslo is a big, fun city but the islands are quiet and beautiful. |
|
|
 |
it's a beautiful town but citizens are as cool as the weather... freezing... |

Oslo is a nice city, but probably not the best place to experience Norway. Its scenic and beautiful but unless your a huge museum buff you can find it boring. For what museums it does have are pretty good. Food is damn expensive but there is always loads of kebab and burger places that help make it affordable. Nice city, do reccommend visiting but does not need alot of time. 2 days maximum. |

 |
Great trip if you can take the cold. It really is a fun city |
|

Really expensive! But cleane, nice, interesting |

It was a little expensive but very friendly. Most people speak English and are totally helpful. Lots of sightseeing but be careful to get to things before they close--early. |

Staying in Norway was fantastic
We were there visiting a friend in Bergen, and we decided visit Oslo too because was a good oportunity.
We had a nice days althougt the weather was a little cold, but was like our city, Burgos, so this was not a problem.
Before visit Oslo, we had a question without answer: Why are two red men in de ligth trafic????? Do you know the answer???? Please ask us. Thanks. |

Oslo is a very expensive city. Concentrate on the free cultural activities:
Vigeland sculpture park
City Hall (Nobel prize location)
Walk around grounds of Royal palce
Explore the lake+woods
Take in the sights from Holmenkollen (Oslo ski jump)
Skate on ice rink in winter
Transport system is v good |

The city is fairly expensive: food, hostels, etc. But I was able to see some really cool stuff: Frognerpark, Akershus Festning (fortress), the design museum. Also, found an amazing place for breakfast, Apent Bakeri. Best, freshest raspberry jam ever. Oslo is definitely worth a visit, but probably a short one. |

 |
Oslo is of course expensive. The weather was really cold..I feel Oslo is more geared towards the family: partying was to a minimum overall. |
|
|
 |
Very cold in winter but adds to the character of the place. Would love to come back in the summer to compare. |

I had a great time during my short stay in Oslo. Thanks. |

Nice stay but a bit noisy outdoors on a busy street. Nice staff and a good breakfast. |

Es una ciudad muy tranquila y sencilla pero especial. En un par de días se puede ver de sobra y disfrutar de la gente que es muy simpática y de la comida, que es alucinante el pescado (gastaros diner en ir a bunos restaurants porque merece la pena!) |

Awesome

in the winter, it\'s good for doing winter sports. if you just want to see the city, summer might be a better season to visit. the reason is that many old churches might be closed or wrapped up for maintenance. sculpture park is awesome. |

Loved this city of culture and history. Viegland Park was outstanding as were the Maritime Museums... Oslo's harbor, shopping and sightseeing was great... restaurants are expensive. US$ doesn't go fare here! |
|

private room was a big plus, but it was in the roughest part of town (although this wasn\'t really a problem, even VERY late at night) biggest plus was it\'s great central location, a few blocks away from the train station and only a couple off of karl johans gate |
|
|
 |
Not as nice as its neighbours to the east, but a pleasant enough city to wander around |
|
|
 |
In Oslo, it is very good for value. It is near the Karl Johans Gates for shopping and central station, just 10 minute walk. The facilities are good and kitchen, wash room...everything inside the room. However, I think they were training a new staff recently, she did things quite slow and I need half an hour to check-in. There is also a supermarket near by which opened by some Africans. |
