I have stayed at a couple of backpackers and hotels in Japan, but this hotel blows them away; Cheap, Huge room, great location with an authentic environment.

The best hostel in Osaka, as far as I know. Right next to Dotonbori, the pulsing nightlife area of Osaka. EXCELLENT! I stayed in a traditional tatami room, which was kept clean and was quite large. Minibar available, but I didn't try it. This is the best hostel I have stayed at in Japan in two years.close

We didn't really intend to go there for fun. It's more a place just to relax if you have been travelling for a while. It's also on the pricey side but the location makes up for it!

Finding the hotel is not easy due to there is not any english indication or signal, everything including the name of the hotel in the main door is in japanish.

A reasonably priced hotel in a spectacular setting. Clean rooms and decent service. The complimentary breakfast is delicious. You can be shuttled down to a hot spring bath at around 8:00 pm for an extra 1000 yen. Be aware that is about a 25 min ride down an extremely twisty road. Manager is...

A good hotel to try futon and tatami experience. It is beside the hectic nightlife area of dontonbouri, fun if you like that. They also seem to have a member of staff that speaks english specifically to help the gaijin check in. close

Would recommend a sign on the outside of the hotel in romanji - a bit tricky to identify from current directions. Very clean lovely Japanese style room.

This is an excellent Ryokan. My only complaint is that it's not well labeled (ie the name is not given in English letters on the outside, and the Kanji were not what I had guessed they would be). I would recommend this ryokan to anyone.

Wd recommend anyone get the tube instead as the hotel is 2mins walk from the nearest tube. Stayed in Japanese style room which was great fun and very comfy. Staff could speak passable English. Would recommend although probably at the top of a budget travellers budget at 6000Yen for a Saturday night reducing to 5000Yen for the Sunday night we stayed there. No meals included.close
