not a backpacker hostel, no communal area, the shower times are silly, difficult to communicate - so got put after 1 night

Japanese style rooms were a novelty, free internet which is good. it has a midnight curfew, which isnt ideal, but overall a good place to stay. If you do stay here when you get out the metro station double back on yourself and the hostel is straight down the road!!

It is a traditional japanses style accommodation. If you don't mind the public shower,it's accepatble with cheap price. But one unsatisfactory thing was that I found a very big cockroach in my room.Very scary and horrible.

Having a TV and air conditioning in the room was really nice, but the traditional japanese styled bathroom was a problem. It was the same bathroom for men and women, only the time schedule was different.

Perfect if you just need somewhere cheap to crash at night. Small rooms, no shower in the mornings - not so good if you like your comforts.

Hotel Taiyo's location is hard to evaluate : it feels both risky and warm at the same time. The rooms are ok, the AC is a blessing during summer and overall, you get not only what you pay for, but also overall a correct accomodation. If I wanted to spend that amount on a hotel again, hotel Taiyo...

if you take a room with a double-bed, it cost only 10euros per night for one person. You will have a television and a freezer in the room. REALLY REALLY a good one. And the place it is also easy to go to umeda or nanba by metro (midousuji-sen) !

The western toilet is on the 9th floor and only available to females (although there may be another in the lobby?). The others are squatters. The one computer available is stuffed (but maybe they've fixed it by now?) - the cd drive constantly opens and closes without a break with an irritating noise. Despite this the girl that works here is very nice and helpful and speaks good English, and one of the guys speaks minimal English. Another guy that works here is rude if you are an English speaker and won't even attempt to understand you. He knows the word "money" though. Even so, I would probably stay here again if I was on a budget purely because of the price, at least it's a bed to sleep in and most of the staff are friendly.close
