-General Information- We are a backpacker hostel in Osaka central area. The building used to be offices and we started the business in February 2008 after renovation. It is the third hostel after Kyoto and Hiroshima managed by J-Hoppers Co., Ltd. It's only 15 minute walk from Osaka main train station. It takes only 30 min to 1 hour to the main touristic places in Kansai area such as Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, and Himeji by train. Note: It takes about 2 hours to 2 hours a half to Koyasan. We are located in a very convenient shopping street where there is a lot of restaurants, bars, various shops. It is very quiet around the hostel as it doesn't face a large street. -Discount for long stay- If you make a reservation on the website of J-Hoppers, we discount 10% from 4th night, and discount 20% from 7th night. -Guest rooms and common area- Air-conditioner and Internet connections are installed in each room. We have twin rooms, triple rooms and double room. A shower rooms are shared and can be used for 24 hours. A toilet is on each floor. Self-catering kitchen with tableware, cooking utensils and various kind of seasoning is available in the kitchen space. In Living room, you can watch some English channels, enjoy some sorts of games. We also have a nice patio where you can sit and smoke. The rooftop terrace is a perfect place to have beers with your travel fellows. We are very sorry but we don't have an elevator. -Times- The reception is open 8:00-11:00 and 15:00-22:00. Check-in time is in between 15:00 and 22:00. You can arrive earlier and leave luggage in between 8:00-11:00. The reception is closed from 11:00 to 15:00 for the house cleaning. However, you can open the door with the PIN cord, so if you will be arriving at here between 11:00-15:00, please contact us in advance. Once you check in, there is no curfew and no lockout time. Check out time is 11am and you can leave your luggage even after checking out. -Internet access- Optical-fiber Internet access is free from every private room. We lend you an Ethernet cable. Wifi is also available for free in the lobby, guest room and the common room. If you don't have a laptop with you, you can use one of the hostel computers any time for 100 yen per 30 minutes. -Location- It's just 3 minute walk from Fukushima station (1 stop from Osaka station on JR Loopline), 15 minute walk from Osaka station. -Neigbourhood- Lots of Izakaya and Bars with many kinds of local foods such as Okonomiyaki, takoyaki or Sushi Central Osaka: 15 minute walk Post office: 3 minute walk Supermarket: 3 minute walk Seven Eleven (International ATM): 30 second walk About the access from the station, please see the direction page. -Staff- All staffs can speak English and are looking forwad to talking to you with friendly smile. We also try to be up to date on what is happening in the area and can give you advice where to go. We are a meeting point for travelers from all over the world! -Payment and rules- Please make your payment on you arrival in cash or by credit card Key deposit: 1000 yen in cash (refunded at checkout). Cancellation Policy: If you wish to cancel or change your reservation, we will require advance notice two days before the date of your arrival otherwise you will be charged the cancellation fee of one night's stay. Smoking free in the building (Except Rooftop terrace and Smoking space on 1F ).

this place was really nice, the only bad thing is that it is 4 floors with lots of stairs and no other way to get your luggage up other than the long steep stairs.

This is the second time I've stayed here and it was even better than the first as I discovered a great common room in the basement. This hostel is in a great location, Fukushima is a great place to stay!

I had a fun time here! The staff were very helpful and the facilities were nice and clean! The location is pretty good for getting around and the people at the front desk are always willing to give you pointers.

Decent place near one of the train stations, twin room bunk beds are large enough to squish two people into one bed if you are thin so if you can't get a double consider this as a second option!

J Hoppers Osaka is really a great hostel. It was incredibly clean and tidy, the facilities (kitchen,showers etc) were very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The best hostel I have stayed in so far.

this is the popular/large hostel to stay in osaka. it has everything you need and the staff are very helpful. It is a larger hostel, so personally i found it difficult to meet people, but other than that it was a good place to stay.

Would be better with an elevator :) The stairs were a killer for my arthritic sister! The walls are thin but the convenience is worth it. It was nice to be greeted like you were home :)

Although the location was good, there was no lift, no bar or social area. if compared to k house in kyoto, id give this place a 5 out of 10 and ks house in kyoto a 9 out of 10.

Fumi - the older Japanese lady was extremely nice and helpful. Very clean and a great location for exploring Osaka and the surrounding areas from. Wide beds but awkward step ladders to top bunks. Cool capsule showers and hi-tech loos!

We had a great time at J- Hoppers Osaka. The staff especially Fumi were very friendly. The hostel was exceptionally clean and close to both the main station and the Sky Building.It had a good kitchen with free tea and coffee and shampoo and body soap in the showers. It is worth a look!

GREAT location, comfortable bed and pillows, friendly staff. There is no elevator, but the desk attendant helped us carry our bags to the 4th floor. We had a great stay!

Almost perfect hostel in a safe good area with best connection to the city center, the staff is very helpful, they have really cute accessories that makes ur stay more convenient. Its a better one than J Hopppers in Kyoto. Little blemish: The mattress was awful, but Im sure, Will come back soon!

Helpful staff to show us the direction to Himeji Castle and to help us finding the time to catch our flight the next day!!! Staff with Excellent service and it is jsut a short walk from the train station.

The hostel is located in a very nice area with many little restaurants and bars. Excellent access to public transport. Super clean and new, the dorm beds are even equipped with curtains. Lockers in the room. Cool place!

Offers loads of freebies - lovely and helpful staff. There are loads of cheap local eats around the hostel, plus it's only one stop from Osaka JR station - excellent location. You can easily rent and bike and ride it to Osaka castle - the cost for bike rental here is the cheapest I've paid.

More like a hotel than a hostel, very organised, clean and professional with a comman room on the second floor that really encouraged interation with travellers. Definitely will go back there next time A++

Location was great only a 3 minute walk from the subway and next to a 7-11. Only downfall was it felt like living at home with a very restrictive grandmother watching you all the time. Just treat the place like a home and stay out as much as possible!

This is a great hostel. Very close to the JR Lines (which is especially good if you have a JR Pass). The staff speak excellent English and will be able to direct you wherever you want to go.
