Good value for the budget backpacker. clos enough to airport and major city centres. Yoshi down at reception is a legend and made the stay that much more enjoyable. Thanks!

Exceptionally helpful staff that speak/understand English quite well. Rooms were small but that was expected, good location near the station. Would stay here again, especially for the price.

We went out several times of the day and night and didn't feel threatened. We stayed in Western-style rooms but the Japanese rooms also looked quite cool.close

Security was good- you have your own room that you're in charge of locking and you can leave your stuff in there during the day. Location was not so great. It was down a couple of sketchy alley ways. Later at night as I walked back with some girl friends an Australian commented that he was shocked we were out so late because apparently we were very close to a hooker district. Staff was nice, spoke english. Didn't use them much for help around the city though. Not so fun, not really any place to hang out and meet others. People generally kept to themselves. Moderately clean. Free internet is always a plus. Good for the price, not anything else.close

It is a shady area...though I didn't feel unsafe. Staff made the visit as they were willing to help in any way they could. Room smelled like old sour cigarettes but there was a TV and free video rentals. I didn't spend a lot of time in the room...it was a place to sleep.

Very nice place. Free internet, TV in the room with VCR. There were a lot of chinese, korean, japanese and english tapes to borrow at the reception. In the area there were many-many (more than 20) hotels, some even cheaper than this. But if i come to Osaka again, i'll take this one for sure.

Great value. A real Japanese hotel complete with Japanese bath. Twin rooms are spacious. Lots of homeless in the area but they were all older men and we felt very safe. Much better than a hostel and not as many silly rules as you get elsewhere. Handy to metro.
