The rooms are amusing, because businessmen have to stay there, but fine clean cheapies. It's not in a great area, but it's safe, full of convenience stores and only two stops on JR from main drinking/eating area, so a better bet than staying near shin-osaka.close

A Very nice place to stay, a bit far from the city, but only 2 mins to subway, and u can get anywhere from there. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were a bit small, but its japan, everything is small. Would definetely stay there again!

Dirty, clapped out and not worth it. Go to the Hotel Chuo just next door for better rooms and service.

Such a wonderful break from the regular hostel rounds! Was fantastic to have a private room and enjoy the cleanliness, quiet and convenient location. The staff were extremely helpful, the hotel was a wonderful haven and well priced. I would love to stay longer!

For a cheaper hotel it is very adequate. Right outside of the subway station, very easy to get too, even with large back packs. Rooms are small but, what you expect. Free videos and internet. Not so much in the way of easy access food nearby for late arrivals, but a lot of fun.

Whole place smells of smoke. Had to change rooms on arrival due to smell, however the staff were willing and helpful on this matter.

Great place right near transport links. Easy to get to all the sights from. Not so good if you don't like the smell of cigarette smoke though.

Already stayed here for 2 nights, got back because I went to a Motley Crue concert and I knew where it was. It smells funny, but it is cheap for what you get.

This is not a hostel, it's a 'guesthouse' which means it's a cheap hotel or even residence (I've seen workers leaving in the morning). It's not supposed to be "fun". I consider "location" good because it's so close to the train, others might think that's a bad thing. It's a...

The location is great. Two stops from Namba and 3 from Shinsaibashi. In Shin Sekai, just on the otherside of the hotel and next to Spaworld are some great Takoyaki places. There is a 24 hour shower and in the morning from 7-10 (approximate) the Japanese style baths are open.close

I had a good stay at Hotel Chuo. Room and shower were clean and staff absolutely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended if you wanna have a single room for little money! Area is not hip but close to Namba and certainly not dangerous.

This hostel was a nice place to stay. Make sure to email the hostel to get directions before going. It is very near to subway stops, but just make sure to get an exit number and direction from the subway stop. Good hostel. =)

This is a great find, it is cheap and clean. You get your own room, but it is shared washrooms. Right next to the subway and JR line. Also lots of good restaurants nearby. I would stay here again!

Close the the subway, and in walking distance of some good areas. yeah there were homeless people around, but they could do no harm. They are all maybe 60 years old. Highly Reccomend this placeclose

This place was easily reached by subway, was cheap and staff were very helpful. Unfortunately the location is dodgy. Welcome to the ghetto, plastic and cardboard houses, the town of the homeless. If you walk back drunk because you missed the last train, hold on to your bag and keep a eye out!

People who patron the hotel seems broadlyu cold. Very uncomfortable pillows worth noting. The most annoying things were: slight smell of smoke and the fact they don't provide any tap water. However location and staff were excellent.

Just next to railways where a train passes every 1 to 3 minutes, so get earplugs. The beds are clean, but the shared bathrooms are not. There is one western type shower for 9 floors of people. On the other hand, the price is low, so you get what you pay for.
