This is my second stay at Pension Lee and it is still as good as the first. Convenient location and very friendly service. The breakfast is well worth the money too. Must try =)

I very much enjoyed my stay at Pension Lee. Mrs Lee in particular is very friendly and welcoming and it is in a really good location with many of the main sights and areas easily accessible on the train or subway. It is in a very quiet location, which makes for a good night's sleep!

Naomi, thanks for helping us with the airport limousine bus and the Kichiri restaurant. Hope you can go there someday, the food is excellent! Greetings from Switzerland, Paola & Roman

I will like to thank Mrs Lee for the time taken to sort out for JR trip to Kansai airport. Her good planning had given us ample time to enjoy her tasty Western breakfast. As mentioned in her travel diary, the next time after my wife has given birth, we made Osaka our first station and...

Wonderful little place with very helpful staff. I would reccomend this guest house to anybody passing through Osaka. Close to the subway and a very nice shopping area.

Just remember where to get off on the train station. There are 2 exit 3's. You need to take the one that faces the arcade. There is an arcade with a yellow door at the front at night time. This is the Lawson they are referring to. There are several Lawson shops in the vincinity.

Good for if you have a Japan rail pass as you are next to a station. Upon arrival we were told by a local to catch the express into nisho and then transfer to the orange train and get off at temma. Walk down the arcade which is bustling with life and light even at night. it was an amazing experience just arriving. Rooms are small concrete boxes but VERY comfortable with western bathroom.close

had a pleasant time! Too bad we didn't get a chance to try the japanese breakfast. Wonderful location, especially for those with JR rail passes. not much of a chance to mingle with the other people staying at the hostel though. But overall, definitely worth the cost! :)

This is not a place for crazy backpacking - for one there is an 11.30 curfew. However if a lovely family run place with a great relaxed atmosphere is what you are after then this place is perfect. And that breakfast...man....wow...it really is worthy of the hype!

Value for money and Mrs Lee was very helpful. The only thing that put a sour note on an otherwise perfectly fine stay was checkout time. Mrs Lee let me leave my bags there & lent me an umbrella while I went and quickly looked at the temples nearby, but when I came back maybe 20 mins later, Mr Lee was pushing my bags out the door into the rain.close

Every morning, the owner lady will tell us all the details for that day trip and give us maps and tourist information which are extremely helpful. She also took us to a local spa, the experience there was priceless The family also run a small sesame cookie shop, so we got to have some free cookies every now and then. As we stayed two weeks in Osaka and one week in Tokyo, the family let us store our stuff for free while we are away to Tokyo. The location there is really good as well, as we have JR pass, it only takes 1 minute to walk to JR Osakatemangu station and 1 stop to Osaka station which close to all the actions you need. The longest shopping street in Osaka is just outside the hostel, so it is really convenient for us to buy anything and try great local food. If you want to have a great local family feel trip in Japan, I highly recommend Pension Lee house.close
