Good location for Waikiki and less than 2 minutes to Queen's Beach. Good communal area except for the 10pm curfew.

This has been the most 'yakkes' hostel I have ever stayed!!!!! My roommates and I have been cleaning our own rooms!!!!! Toaster was broken and there was 'other' stuf going on.... At the beginning i was a bit stressed and tired so didn't like that at all but after one day i loved that hostel and everything about it. I slept in 8bed dorm which was great fun and it's on Hawaii so you have to relax and just enjoy it. Not for posh travellers.

i booked this hostel for my friends, who were very disatisfied, and furious with me for putting them up in this place, The hostel itself was good, apparently the staff was horrible not friendly and un helpful, not to mention they called the police to have items returned that were taken out of the...

They lost my reservation! They had no idea what they were doing. They tried to tell me that I had reserved a different hostel, I showed them the reservation that I had printed off. They didnt know what to do. I was still charged 30 bucks even though I ended up going somewhere else. Horrible staff... more They lost my reservation! They had no idea what they were doing. No lockers, no curtains on windows, not a particularly great hostel altho the location was brilliant. Kitchen facilities quite poor - oven did not work, hob was dodgy and not many cups / plates etc.

I checked into this hostel and checked back out the same day. There was no security at all. Anyone could come into the hostel. It is more like a motel block as entrance to all rooms is from outside. Not sure if they actually worked there or if they were just working for accommodation. on a positive note they do offer free tours to places like diamond head and pearl harbour. Only on certain days of the week though. Rooms had no lockers, no tables, no nothing except beds. The floors looked like theyd never been washed. They say this is the best hostel in Honolulu. If so id treat yourself to a hotel for a few days.close

very basic rooms. we were not given any pillows. the room had permanently open windows and this made it very noisy as it is above a car park.

We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom, which was at the back of a 4 bed dorm, which was fine, no charge for linen or towels, free sec boxes in reception which was open 24 hrs. The staff arranged bbq's and cocktail parties which were great and as we were in a residental area the noise level had to be kept to a reasonable level, with no noise after 10pm which was great if that was not your thing.close

Will I be able to come back since I am a big island resident? I was almost not allowed to stay because I was not leaving the state of hawaii. I do travel around quite a bit but live in the state at the moment.

I thought it was a great time but the building was undergoing renovations at the time. because of that, i cannot give it an excellent rating for cleanliness. however, i am confident that when everything is finished it will be a fantastic place once more.

hi we stayed in a studio it was much bigger than expected. met some lovely people staying there everyone very friendly a really good atmosphere in the place, staff were nice ans approachable. would stay again definitly.

My husband and I had a great time here. The location is wonderful. There are not a lot of frills in the rooms but for the most part they are clean. I would stay here again.

The walls weren't very clean but the bedsheets were freshly washed. The staff was helpful and open. Good blend of international people. Def would go back.

I was shocked to find this hostel in the lonely planet. I thought it was the worst hostel on my travels. I was not clean or secure and not very friendly staff. I was booked in for 2 nights and ended up checking out before staying! I have stayed in hostels throughout the world and this had to be one of the worst. It was dirty, the bathrooms were moldy, there was no a/c, it was extremely noisy due to garbage trucks going up and down the alley. The roof leaked on the top bunk. The rooms were dirty. The bathtub bottom was black. Bathroom was moldy. Nothing was cleaned the 2 days we were there. The other roommates were all very inconsiderate about noise level and quiet hours coming in drunk @ 4:30 am usually and getting undressed in front of anybody. There were no kitchen facilities, tables to set anything on. Residents were fed bread, jelly and coffee. The walls going up the stairs were filthy. Never again!!close

Great place, lots of young international trippers. There are activities every day and you make friends fast. About 2 blocks to the beach, and right near the main boulevard in Waikiki.

Main gate open all day. Anyone can get in to take bikes etc. Otherwise, great. Nice, quiet. Partying NOT encouraged. We like it.

The bathroom was terribly moldy and the rooms were not very clean - there was even an empty cigarette pack under my bed. The place was rather run down, but the activities are good and they let you store your luggage when you're visiting other islands.

being the oldest one there ..i felt very confortable..the ones staying there treated me with respect and were very nice.. the staff are very nice and helpful and went out of there way to help not only me but others..Great location I would tell other to stay..thank u for everything..Louis

3 minutes to Waikiki beach and near bus stops. However, it is very noisy at night as it is near streets. Bathroom is terrible on my second day overthere.

The private room was nice. We shared a bathroom with a 4-bedroom dorm. The bsthroom needed a lot of work - moldy areas surrounding the tub and floor. The staff was great and friendly. The guys carried our bags up to our 3rd floor room. Not noisy at all. Lots of fun activities planned...

This hostel is soooo close to everything! Was awesome. Stayed in a double room which you had to walk through a dorm to get to and we shared a bathroom, but we could lock our door which was great for us. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
