I was in the mens dorm for 3 nights and never noticed it being cleaned. It definitely began to have it's own unique (and not that pleasant) odour. Also, although it's great to be so close to the beach, there is a lot of noise in the mornings, due to tour buses and garbage trucks etc.

The hostel was very close to the beach which was fab! but we had booked and payed for a 6 bed room and when we got there it had been changed into an 8 bed room. To top it off it was hotter inside than out and the aircon was broken. I had a lovely time. I was not expecting much as I only paid $26 dollars per night... I was plesently surprised...you wouldn't get that in Australia for that price. Staff were very friendly and helpfull & someone was in every day to clean...MAGIC! I just chilled out and relaxed...exactly... more I had a lovely time. A few of the rooms were being treated for bed bugs while i was there - the staff were very good about the situation but no-one wants to be sleeping with bed bugs

The place is a party place no problem not far from the beach. what i did not like were 2 things. Second thing.The night porter yelled and swore at me. First he asked me the sheets back when leaving the hostel. I told him that the bus was waiting outside and he said he did not "f...." care and i would lose my deposit then he said that probably in my country we did not do things..properly i suppose to the States.. well.. i don t have much to comment.. the attitude of the staff is self explanatory.. a new night porter is needed. Attitude and prejudices against travellers from different nationalities are not to be tollerated ! After all we all pay the staff wages..close

Lacked lockers to put whole back pack in. Internet was expensive. Bathrooms were not cleaned very well. Good location.

Good location but the floor was always dirty and TV didnt' work in our room or airconditioning.. BBQ was good and free but a pub crawl on a Wednesday ?? try the weekend..

in a 8 bed dorm there was only 1 bathroom,every one had to wait and it was dirty.The cleaners never cleaned the room properly,they always seemed to be standing around eating when they came into our room to clean.Cooking facilities where poor as well in the room.

Great location! 2 minutes from Waikiki beach. There were a lot of strange people at the hostel (and a few really nice ones). They are now quite strict with the 10pm quite time so I get to have good sleep everynight. The beach is close and the staff is very helpful.. Very positive experience overall.. True about the WIFI not working too well.. if you are at the right spot you get excellent reception otherwise it will be an frustrating experience!close

Unfortunately when the hostel advertises as Wifi access they enhance the truth. They don't have wifi themselves other hotels around them have access if you can connect. (Most visitors give up). I had a fantastic time here, the staff are pretty cool. But its not a brilliantly clean place and the roaches are a tad disconcerting. I would go back but in a smaller room. The atmosphere amongst the other inmates was really good, I would consider returning.

The staff was helpful and accomadating. The location was so convient to everything. We were there the day of the earthquake, so the staff prepared a meal for everyone. When the quake happened Jeff immediately checked to make sure everyone was ok. All of you helped make our stay so enjoyable.

All in all this hostel was an excellent choice. Great location, 2mins from Waikiki beach and about 5-10 minute walk to shops. Night life was pretty good too! Definitely recommend it to anyone!

This hostel is in a great location, and I had an awesome time here. Its definitely not the best hostel I've ever stayed in, and its definitely not the cleanest either. But none the less, I had a fabulous time with fabulous people. Like all hostels "it is what you make it"

pretty good hostel near the beach, like the seating area, lots of ppl around if you want to socialise, waikiki is extremely touristy though, still pretty good place overall, easy to access the sights, definitely get a feel for oahu here too, hostel is clean and fun.
