It is not a big restaurant, but offers great seafood. I went there twice during short stay in Nice. The favourite dish is freshly-grilled sardines . If you go there, you will need to try this!

Set near the old town of Nice on a corner. This rough and ready seafood restaurant is a bit special. The waiters are as rude as you like, no hot dishes only cold plates of delicious seafood. Great athmosphere, definitely worth a visit.

The Cafe at the beginning of the "Flowers Market" is one of the nicest places in Nice! The atmosphere is very nice and the personell is totally strange in a very good meaning :)

Delhi Belhi is a cozy little Indian in a small street behind the Cours Saleya Market which is very popular with tourists. We saw all those Awards on their front door and decided to give it a try (especially since there were many locals who were eating there as well). The seating area used to be a Horse Stable in its previous life, and you can still see some of the hooks and water tubs. The restaurant is decorated with a lot of Indian pieces of various kinds, and has a very unique atmosphere - one we had not seen in any other Indian restaurant in our travels so far. The host and hostess (I think they also own this place) were very courteous and attentive. The food was very aromatic and was spiced just right for our taste buds. We were there till way past closing time but the service continued with a smile - very different from a mostly indifferent attitude that you get from the wait staff at most restaurants in France. Unfortunately, they are open only for dinner (7:00pm to 11:30pm daily). We will definitely eat here again on our next visit to the riviera.

Classical French restaurant, upmarket. Great room, feels like you are eating in an old library. Require advance reservation.

Delhi Belhi !! yes, Delhi Belhi, don't pass thru reading the name, the owners really have a very high sense of humour. The first time we ate there, we tried the most known dishes like Lamb Madras and Chicken Korma. We were delighted to taste these dishes (without forgetting the cheese nan and masala kulcha). This family operated restaurant have its own charm, once inside, you get a ward welcome, the decor and music as if you were in a street of Old-Delhi. The waiters shall make you feel so relax as if you were at home. It was so surprisingly pleasant and unbelievable that we decided to return to see whether it is all the time same tasty food. This time we tasted THALI (25 euros) having seven dishes in small bowls with rice, tandoori chicken and nan bread (of your choise). It is a real delice to eat all this representation of their family kitchen. One advice don't eat lunch and take a thali straight 19 hours. Otherwise, one can't finish it all, and need not take a starter as well. The wine collection is well priced specially Chateau Rasque (red and rose) and Sencerre (white). The list of the qualities is exaustive, I shall leave the remaining ones for you.

With its outdoor seating, friendly staff, and menu full of main courses costing under €10, it will come as no surprise that locating a seat in this restaurant can prove to be very challenging. It also enjoys a privileged location under Eglise du Gesú, one of the Old Town's numerous churches. If you see an empty seat grab it!

Me and my girlfriend was so lucky to find Delhi Belhi. Nicer people and better food is hard to find. By far the best food expirience in Nice. My girlfriend is not a fan of strong food, and she was crazy about the place. I got the sweat on the forehead as I requested:-) So there is something for everyones taste. I'll recommend this place to anyone! Jesper S. // Denmark

I went to Restaurant du Gesu on my first night in Nice while visiting my daughter who was studying French there. Gesu is so popular that the tables fill up fast, so be there by 7 p.m. when it opens or you might have to wait. It is located in a small square in Old Nice, somewhat away from the other larger, more touristy places, which makes it a quiet and relaxing place to have dinner. There is a huge pale blue and yellow Italian church towering over the square, so the ambiance was fantastic. The atmosphere is casual, with very nice waiters, especially one man who was very enthusiastic and always happy. The food was quite tasty and I thought the prices were about average for Nice for the kind of restaurant it was. It is a good place to take either a date or the family. I liked it so much that I went back the evening before I left. Actually, eating there was one of my fondest memories of my trip.

I was there with my colleagues in the late September. It was recommended to us by a local, not-very-popular, pop singer. It was described as the perfect place, but when we finally managed to find it (with the help of 3 GPSes), it turned out to be the perfect pigsty (a place, where pigs live and do other things). It was very packed, the tables were small and the stuff was refusing to speak English (we also refused to speak French and one of the main reasons was that we DON'T speak French at all). However, we managed to order somehow, but guess what: the food was rubbish, and fortunately, the portions were small. Тhe only good thing about is that it is a low-cost solution, making it favorite for the not-very-rich immigrants and gastarbeiters (and probably some of the poor locals). If I had to recommend you a place in Nice, it will definitely NOT be Restaurant du Gesu. If you are visitor of Nice and someone (probably an enemy of yours) recommends you this place, do not try to search for it hard, because you may be unlucky enough and you may find it.
