Our new room was not much better. The shower curtain was moldy, and the shower head just dangled (nothing to hold it up). THe bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. None of the TV channels had good reception, the street was noisy, and we were unable to phone reception from our room. Otherwise, staff were friendly, and free internet in the lobby was nice.close

A great place to use as a base for the Cote d´Azur. Monaco and cannes are both very close by, but much more pricey. Highly recommended. ps Nice beach is great fun, but VERY stoney. Bring shoes and padded mats etc...close

Very welcoming, gorgeous rooms. On a quiet street, within walking distance to great shopping and the beach. Beach is not made of sand, just rocks. Definitely worth the money!!

The best aspects were: 1. Absolutely free Internet access on the computer in the lobby, ANY time of day! 2. A refrigerator in the lobby full of wine, drinks, and bottled water that could be purchased (ANY time of day) and added to your room bill. The only downside we found was that our room was on the 3rd floor (4th in France), and there was no elevator. We had to climb about 4 flights of stairs every day, sometimes in the dark (until we figured out where the light switch was!). Other than that, we really enjoyed this hotel.close

The Touring Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in Nice. The prices are very reasonable and the hotel itself is great. Close to the train station and beach. There is free internet in the lobby and air conditioning in the rooms. What more could you want? Highly recommended.

We arrived very early in the morning and the friendly staff held our bags all day as we decided to go to the beach. Very clean room, private bath, air conditioning (!!) and daily chamber maid service with fresh towels. It's a small cozy hotel, and the staff are great and able to accomodate most requests. You should leave your pasports and valuables in the hotel safe rather than take them to the beach with you, since you need to survey your belongings at all times. If you don't mind being a couple of blocks away from the beach (a good 5-10 min walk), then this is a super choice!close

This was one of the best place we stayed at. The staff was exceptionnal and the location is great. Close to the train station, the beach and near the old town. There is also an excellent restaurant called O'Staff near by. I would stay here again for sure!

This hotel was wonderful. The people were helpful, it was between 5-10 minutes from the beach, 5-10 minutes from the train station, and 5 minutes from Old Nice where open markets take place on the weekend. There was air conditionining constantly on and soundproofed windows, as well as spacious...

Perfectly reasonable hotel all round. Cheap and functional. The staff were very nice but it is not the kind of place where you are going to meet up with other travellers.

A great place to stay, and much closer to the beach than some of the other budget hotels near the train station. Friendly staff and air conditioned rooms.

A great place to stay. Far better than some of the 3 or 4 star hotels I have stayed at. Rooms maybe are small but they are nice and the friendliness is unbeatable

They say that the rooms are sound proof but that is not true. I was able to hear talking and TV from behind the wall. This is still a nice hotel and staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not included, but it was worth the extra I paid for it.

It´s a hotel, so you get all the things that come with one, cleaning service and towels. Location is good because it´s in between the train station and the beach. Pretty clean and the most spacious private room so far.

It was a very cute, French place, however they do not have a laundry facility or internet that can be used by customers like the ad in hostel world says. These two things were important in our deciding to stay there. We were quite upset when they did not have it.

not right next to the beach, but much more a nice hotel than hostel by any means...small and quiet and easy to find near the train station (not a bad walk at all) and almost to the beach. the staff could not have been nicer to us, carried all our bags up to our room immediately....super nice...
