The BEST I have stayed in. Worth every penny of my stay. Staff Wonderful. Hotel VERY clean. Location was the BEST. This was clearly the best place I have stayed in Europe. Stay here! Scott = Los Angelesm CA

This tiny hotel has a great location, just off the main pedestrianised shopping streets, and 5-10 mins walk from the beach and the old town. The rooms are set back from the main street on a courtyard so are fairly quiet. Room was comfortable, although we found it a bit on the hot side (we'd just arrived from Scotland and it took a while to adjust to South of France temperatures). Staff were very friendly and helpful, giving us directions and maps, and letting us leave our luggage.close

Because of a misunderstanding regarding a change of dates, the hotel was overbooked when we arrived, so we ended up having to go to another hotel. The staff of Hotel Rex was very accommodating, however, in finding us an alternate hotel, so ultimately, we were very pleased and would love to come...

Easier to find than most people think. Very friendly staff and the location CAN NOT be beat. Its about 20 meters from the main plaza

Hotel Rex offers perfect location downtown Nice. It is charmingly decorated and you are being welcomed by pleasant people. While the toilets are rather small and the actual building sits in a yard, it is far compensated by the upsides. Indeed worth a stop for the weekend.

The rooms are nicely and uniquely decorated. I like it! The staff is extremely nice and helpful, and the location is excellent. The only problem with this hotel is that it requires going up two flights of stairs with no elevator.

A fine little place in the heart of Nice, but the prices don't really justify the style and quality of the hotel. Try a Bed and Breakfast in Nice if you want something similar but with better prices and attention.

a great place, close to coast, staff was extremely helpful, gave us recommendations for sites to see, and let us keep our luggage there all day. The room looked over the courtyard and was very clean.

When in Europe, I would take a side trip to Nice just to stay here! It's quaint with a modern bed and bathroom. The manager was so nice and helpful. It's very well situated, within close walking distance of everything important to see in Nice. It was my favorite place to stay in Europe.

Was in an unbelievable location, close to just about everything - and had awesome facilities. It was a little pricey, but i had my own room in a small studio with so many features it was definitly worth it.

owner put himself out considerably to be available when late ferry docked, carried luggage, was absolutely excellent. Though 1* this was more friendly and nicer than many 4/5* places I have (occasionally) stayed in!

Thierry and his mother were lovely hosts. Great location and nice clean functional room (small but compact). Good value for the price - tv; hairdryer; and mirrors - essential for females sharing. Quiet enough for a good night's sleep.

Beautifully decorated hotel, accessed via a lovely little bridge. Right in the middle of town but very quiet. The owner Chilli was really helpful. I would recommend Hotel Rex, and cannot believe it was so fancy for such good value!

Its not bad for a one star place.The location is excellent and the staff wonderful. If you like Shabby Chic styling then you can see how they have managed to create this image with basic things! There is no sound proofing so you can hear your neighbours, but for what you pay its worth it
