We rented a 2 person bedroom and it turned out to be in the Laplante Hotel, a hotel owned by the same people as H33. It was very small but great because it was a hotel room. Very clean, free internet, great location but definitely not a hostel.

GREAT location- nearby everything. 15 walk from the train station, 10 minute walk from the water... although I would personally take a taxi going to or from the station at night (approx. 10 euros). All in all, it was a good buy.

Great small hotel for couples wanting somewhere clean and quiet. Staff were exceptionally helpful and gave plenty of directions and sightseeing tips. Location was excellent.

This hotel was in a great spot near the beach, station and shopping. Staff were helpful. Rooms were a bit small, but nice and the bathroom was clean but tiny. Very well priced for it's location.

I was very disappointed that my belongings were not safe in my hotel room. I left my purse inside of my closed backpack for about an hour and when I returned to my room, THE MAID HAD STOLEN 50 EURO FROM MY PURSE. A very clean, comfy, friendly place. staff are very helpful with maps and where to go etc. There's no common room or kitchen so not the most social place but us in the middle of all the shops and about 10mins walk to the beach.

A 20+ minute walk from the train station is the only downer to this hotel. The up side is that it is 20 minutes closer to the majority of eateries, bars and the beach. The smallest bathroom I have ever seen was also a highlight.

great people, nice place,decent location. bathroom are ridiculously tiny (& i mean tiny) in the rooms that we looked @. location is halfway between the train station & beach/nightlife. would reccomend bc the guys that work @ the desk were so helpful.

This hotel was good, although our expectations are never high. The street was a bit noisy, but it is close to the beach, shopping, and supermarket. The room itself was clean, but we had a 3 bed room that was very tight on space. The room also has a safe for €1 a day, which was handy.

Clean room, checked in on time, place about 10mins walk as you turn right of the train station, beach about the same, stone throw away from eating places and 5min walk from the bus station which gets you to monaco, reception very friendly!

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We particularly liked that the hotel was just a 10 minute walk from Old Nice and that the bus stop for the airport shuttle was just a couple of blocks away. nice fan in room too!

Astor is perfectly located in the heart of Nice, but the rooms are sketchy because you could just give a nice shoulder and pop the doors open. The staff is friendly and helpful, just make sure you speak French and ask about their advice for places to eat and then go to them, as it makes great...

it was great location and great, helpful staff... but it is hot in the summer, and since there is no a/c, it is either really hot with the window closed or really loud since it is above a busy street.

My room was cleaned every day and was provided with fresh towels regulary. For a single person the room was more than adequate. The hotel is well located to allow easy access to the rest of Nice and the bus station. When I come back to Nice, I shall be staying here again.

As for the bum men that work there we ask is the internet open late, he replies oh yes very late we say ok guess we will go to dinner then use internet, come to use it about 7:30 and it's closed, we tell the same man it was closed he replies yes saturdays it closes early as if we didnt ask him in the first place, i honestly think the men at this place had to be to dumbest fools i have ever spoke to. i hate this hotel i do not recommend it to anyone and witnessed many other guest with other further complaints. brian hobert USA.close

No hot water one night. No receptionist one morning (even with the bell) and I was worried anybody could walk in, pick a key and go up to the room. Other than that, OK.

There was a grumpy man on the reception who ignored my friend when she was asking questions about the hotel! Blatantly ignored her and she was standing right in front of her. the location was good but definitely more than five minutes to the beach, and the beaches that are close are rocky not sand, also breakfast was late once, really late the next day, and not provided, even though paid for the third day.
