The Med Hotel is perfect if you just want a place for a night. It's a two-star hotel, comfortable enough but pretty basic. It's in a good location - close to the train station, and walking distance to the waterfront and old town. Staff were pleasant and helpfu.

Rooms are bright and cheerful although the room I was in didn't seem to have heating (it was chilly at night and there only seemed to be one cycle A/C) and water pressure in shower was quite poor. Location is great if you want to be close to the beach, but if you want to be close to the action of the old town then you might want to consider something closer. Staff were cheerful and very helpful and their English excellent.close

It was one of cheapest hotel in nice .It is close to nice coast but little far from nice gare. Small, cleany and has a good staff. I suggest the hotel

Place is good if you are staying town for a night and hoping on a train the next morning. If you are trying to experience NIice I might try to stay some where else.

Awesome place to stay! The staff were amazing and the rooms were extremely clean. Definitely a few steps up from the traditional hostel experience, but still a great price!

Really great price for what you get. We got a 3 person private room and only paid 40 EU for it. TV, AC, and private shower. right beside the beach. Not a party hostel, but a great welcome reprieve from the chaos of hostels. Great if you need a good night's sleep.

Only comment I would make was that the floor was dirty. Otherwise had a great stay and its nice been so close to the beach!

We stayed for 2 nights and although we did not have internet in our room we were able to use it on there eating area. Very decent for a 2* and for the price it was just fine. I would say if your on a budget like we were, I reccomend it. Thanks

This place is a complete dump. It is better than sleeping on a park bench, but certainly has the feel of a homeless shelter turned hotel.

Wonderful location, one street in from the beach, and walking distance to everything. Only problem was that it is on a main street with very thin windows, so being on the road side, we had a lot of traffic noise all night. Other than the noise, though, it was great.

This was an awesome place to stay!! Vwery cheap for what you get...2 streets up from the beach and very close to the centre of everything. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again :)

Fantastic place to stay in Nice. A couple of blocks back from the beach and right in the center of town the location is amazing. Rooms were clean and large with air con. Security was good, you dont have to leave the keys at the front desk if you dont want to as other reviews suggest. All up a...

this was a fantastic hotel, we couldn't have asked to be any closer to the beach! only two blocks away... the room was fun and decorated nice, cleaned everyday-even the floor!

this was a great place to stay for the price. it is close (10-15min) to the train station, 5min to the beach and a 10min walk to old Nice: the hostel was clean enough, the shower was tiny, and the staff was very accomedating.

I have been booking different hotels/ hostels through HOSTELWORLD web site for some time (Bath, Brugges, Barcelona) and have never had to pay any additional fees!!! I have no idea what the additional 1,40euro stands for!!. The staff member who has issued the receipt has told me that it is a "tax". Have we been taxed twice then?? ( as far as I know from my booking form the tax has already been included in the price). I am expecting explanation why I needed to pay extra fees which were not agreed on the HOSTELWORLD web site. I feel I was ripped off even if the sum does not seem considerable!. I think that HOSTELWORLD should put information on its web site about additional costs of stay. However if the addtional fees were not justified, Hostelworld should take appropriate action against hotels that are not honest to holidaymakers. I will definitely not reccomend this hotel to my friendsclose

This was a hotel...not good for meeting people, and a little farther from the nightlife and old town in Nice. Water was dripping from our ceiling, the shower was clogged and our room was never cleaned. But it was not that bad.

There was work being done on the first floor that will look really nice when it is finished. Very good location a block from a public beach and right along from all the resturants

Hotel is in the middle of renovations but if you're not fussy it's ok. Clean, close to beach and a bit of a walk from the train station (but manageable) it was good value for money. Bathroom newly renovated
