The only city hostel with camping facilities and offstreet carparking. Come and relax in our centrally located hostel we are only a short stroll into the city centre cafes bars and supermarket.The beach and great scenic bush walks are all around the corner or just relax on our sunny deck and enjoy the awesome views or sit back and enjoy BBQ or come on inside and relax in one of our lounges surf the net or have a game of pool or just chill out and watch TV. We can help you arrange all your travel arrangements and our FREE shuttle will pick you up and drop you off to the ferry bus and train terminal and if you really want to leave us we will even drop you off at a hitchingpoint. good coz it had a car park - but culd really do with a re - furb. - Concedering the standard of hostels in NZ im amazed this one still gets people coming to it

The owner was a very miserable man, who treats you like your're the bane of his life, rather than a paying guest. If you can put up with this, and the UNCLEAN duvets/pillows (they don't offer you clean linen at the front dest like most places) then use this place as "only if necessary"

Excellent location and great staff. Bathrooms are **always** clean and tidy! Highly recommend this clean, cute, affordable hostel.

Staff could do with some training in customer service, there is something about hostels in NZ that they just dont know how to approach tourists.. next time make time to show guests around its a big place!!!... we do tell other travllers what we like/dislike.. Some warmer bedding would be nice.
