One of the most recognizable symbols of the United States, it was given to America by France as a sign of friendship between the two countries. It is no longer possible to enter the statue, but it is possible to enter the pedestal with a ticket.

Go up it, if you want a great view. Be prepared for endless steps. It's a great experience, book ferry tickets in advance and allow lots of time for it!
