a great hostel experience. located right in the center of lovely williamsburg, brooklyn. feels like you're sharing a cool apt with ur mates.. the only thing i missed was a TV for days of hangover. maybe it can be a bit pricy for backpackers but worth it if u can afford it

The only surprise was something that couldn't be helped. Thankfully, when we got there, it was lovely, clean, and organized. We met a diverse group of folks from around the world; our host was genial and helpful; breakfast cereal was provided every day; and the rooms were comfortable and nice. Highly recommended.close

Great hostel, friendly and helpful owner, great view, very clean. It is a bit noisy though, but that is mostly due to noisy fellow hostellers. If you are not planning on sleeping in every day (you won't), than this is the place to be!

great little place, the owner really cares for his guests and makes sure all are comfortable. Very clean too!And in a hip part of town just a few subway stops from Manhattan. The stairs are a bit of a nuisance, but the owner happily helps with luggage. I woudl definately stay there again.

It's a great hostel with a home-like atmosphere. The balcony is absolutly fantastic! Staff was very friendly. You just have to carry your luggage up to the fifth floor, so don't take too heavy bags with you ;-)

to avoid any misunderstanding: Yes, the location is a bit "poorly soundproofed" -but hey, it's a hostel and earplugs will guarantee you a good sleep! I highly recommend this hostel and would stay there again.

Great hostel, definitely to recommend. In a great, more quiet, but very relaxing area with a lot of cafes, restaurants and bar. Manhattan close enough by subway, and you get one more impression of another area in new york. great.

A hit was definitely in the inexpensive price, and with its surrounding shops, restaurants, etc. I enjoyed my stay. I recommend the Sea Restaurant right next to it- awesome Thai food and pretty interior. It was my first time in Williamsburg, and Bedford Ave. was a very posh area. I was reluctant to stay in Brooklyn, but the feeling of Williamsburg turned out to be very similar to Soho and unique. The only negative would be the 5 floor walk-up setup, but the staff carried my bags so it wasn't a problem.close
