I have just got back from this hostel. I would say overall it was a plesent stay. The room was basic but clean 0 with a tv. Its the perfect location for central park and not too far at all from 5th avenue. One of the best location in NYC (near Central Park and just a block from Columbus Circle and the its big Wholefood Market). The sport facilities are really good (yoga, swimming pool, spinning, ...). Unfortunately, our room was very old and not clean !

The location was great but the bathroom had to be shared with other peple. Ask to be in the top two floors as they have individual bathroom for each one. Those floors are better than the rest.

Geographical situation OK, but there is only. because rooms are verry bad state, in no way representative of the photos on the site. The staff is not trés pleasant, and the hygiéne remains correct has little meadows. Trés disappointed by this establishment. Disadvised.

The rooms are small but ok only for sleeping. I already had smaller rooms in other hostels!. There were more than one toilette and one shower what was very comfortable-no waiting in line in the mornig. Right at the Central Park is perfect. Couldn't say anything bad about YMCA!

My room was cleaned even though I had the 'Do not Disturb' sign posted on the door. I had my stuff just laying around. Thank goodness nothing got stolen. The staff should follow the signs posted by the guests.

The location is great value if you're looking for a place just to sleep while in nyc. It's quite dirty in the common bathroom and the bedroom, so it'll make you want to get out early and come back late.

Bathrooms were disgusting, only had one heat setting - HOT, rooms standard. As we arrived staff were speaking about how they lost someones license, not overly friendly or good with directions or suggestions. Good location for a base spot.

very nice location, easy to find and close to the subway. the rooms are not too big but just fine, enough room to store your luggage, or you can put away your things in the table drawers. The bed was OK,but the room was completely basic; no running water and the bathroom was half a block away. I would have loved to drink some cold water, but could not find a point to get it on my floor.

Leider war die Ausstattung nicht nur sehr spartanisch sondern mehr als abgewohnt, schmutzig und in keinster Weise dem Preis entsprechend. In an excellent location. Old but clean.Rooms serviced daily. Very noisy. It would help if the bathroon doors didn't squeak and if they didn't bang all night. Would recommend it

Great Location, Ideal as a first base to orientate yourself in NYC. Communal showers and toilets were below average standard although rooms were ok and clean.

the location was brilliant, but we found the bathrooms a huge let down. not the cleanliness but the fact that we couldnt get cold water in the sinks! aside from that it was alright.

It was ok if you only want some clean and quiet place to stay. its good to sleep there but there is no community room if your looking for company. but for me it was just find and i would go there again.

I really recommend this hotel. The location is great! If I at my next visit still want to keep the boarding cost down, I'll defenitely choose this hostel. I was there with another girl, and we felt totally safe all along.

We did however have some problems with our aircondition and even though we mentioned it at the front desk 4-5times during our 3day stay, nothing was ever done about it...

Dear YMCA-worker, We liked it very mutch in your hostel, especially the location and the gym/swimmingpool! On the 9th floor the toilets and showers aren't always clean. We think it has to be done more times a day. Bay, Marlo de Kat (Holland)

Although it was the peak season(18-25 July)we never had to wait for the shower. You can also eat cheaply at the ground floor rstaurant which is open whole day.close
