The place was closed when we got there 30 min before it should have been leaving us stranded in Harlem... Would say worse service in the world what a joke...

The owners are good and loving people, avoid a man named Jan, a borderline personality who is in charge of the night shift.

Not the greatest location for restaurants, but the rooms are clean. Our room was very small, but the bed was large enough, and it came with a fridge, small tv, closet and fan. Office staff was helpful and friendly. All in all, a great value for someone who plans on spending 85% of their stay touring the city.close

The hotel is a good value for money. The staff was very kind and helpful. We stayed in the apartments and they have a fully furnished kitchen, which makes them very handy. It´s also very close to Central Park and well communicated.

It was horrible. Don't stay there. They refused to return my deposit and it is in a bad area. It isn't close to anything. For 100 dollars more you can stay at a Holiday Inn in Times Square!

The staff was super friendly ! It was nice to stay in Harlem and experience the local culture there. I had to give low marks on security only because the front door didn't lock ! Having said that, I didn't feel it was a dangerous area at all and walking back at night was very comfortable.

Looks a bit dodgy at first, but Harlem is actualy very funny! It's a safe neighbourhood and the police is patroling on a regular basis. Easy to reach via the subway.

Had some problems with a guy in my room who thought that all the beds were meant to be used as shelves for his stuff.. So the staff might want to instruct guests not to leave their stuff all around especially if other guests come late at night. But so far the best hostel I've stayed at in NY. Will use them again and recommend to others.close

Hostel has very good place, it´s closed to center what is super and the subway is also very closed what is also very good expecially if you have a lot of luggage. On the other side the room is so small so you can only sleep there and that´s all.
