The Garden's Edge cafe was terrific, esp. the staff and pricing. Our guestroom was dirty. uncomfortable, and full of bugs. Our friends' room had a drawerfull of dried vomit.

St. Vincent's is a VERY old building (a refurbished orphanage). It was very cold and dirty. Scared to sleep on the sheets as they didn't even look or smell clean. There is NO kitchenette (contrary to advertisement). It was way over priced (we went during Mardi Gras- over $70 USD/per... more

I arrived on the 2nd last night of Mardi Gras, so they were apparently over worked. It was a freezing night and they had ran out of blankets. They are quick to take ya money, with a big 'No Refund Policy' sign behind their heads, then tell you no blankets, no heaters, no nothing!!!... more

I would not recommend any one to stay here unless you are on a really tight budget and intend to spend as little time as possible in the room and be ready for amenities of a third world... more

This place is interesting because it used to be a orphanage. The location is absolutely great, and you get what you pay for so don't be surprised if you don't receive maid service, not included.

Just stayed here for Mardi Gras. Pretty fun place. Great proximity to Bourbon for the tourists (20 min walk), and the Bacchus parade (10 min walk). If it's going to be cold, I would bring some extra blankets. Definitely bring towels. Great value if you're looking for a cheaper place to stay.
