Good room service (basic breakfast: coffee/tea, bread & eggs served or other local delight upon request/order).close

The staff was very lazy, the chief tried to relieve us of our money, by entering one more null to the amount we should pay for accomodation (when we tried to pay by card). For sure we pay in cash in the end... It is to expensive for the services they offers you.

The airport pick up was on time and good. As two female travellers, we did not like the location. The travel agency next door was horrible and we felt extremely pressured to take an unsafe (through Srinigar) tour...which in the end we did not take. If you are staying at this hostel I suggest...

not really to be recommended as the airport pick-up (which was fine) is part of the sales effort of a nearby travel agency to "assist" in your travel arrangements in india; staff at the hotel does not give you the feeling of being welcome

Keep and open mind though as what he provides is a pretty good service. We, at least, bought some of what he was offering and haven't regretted it yet. Make sure you get what you pay for though.close

There were bugs everywhere, no soap in the bathroom, and no towels were provided. This is not a home stay, it's an old hotel, that's false advertising. The only good thing I can say is that the AC is freezing cold.

Do not use the turist office next door (it has the same owners). They will give you wrong information about trains and busses, so that you will buy one of their package tours og rent a taxi instead through them.

The location of the hotel is very secure and as a young female traveling alone, I definitely recommend it. Also, is close to many popular places in Delhi. I'm currently in Srinagar staying in a beautiful houseboat, and then I will go to other places.close

Then I spent a week up in Srinagar where his family runs a houseboat. His Dad, Ali, tended to all my needs on the boat. A nearby golf course was spectacular as was a trip up the Himalayas. In all, the father, mother (a great cook) and four sons run a smooth operation both in Delhi and up in Srinagar.close

Pickup from airport was very good and promt even at 03:30. Unfortunately we got talked into doing a guided tour that we didnt really want, which although was good and the driver was very pleasant and friendly took us off the backpacker trail completely. Recomended for those after organised tours round India but not for the independant or gap year traveller.close
