Five generations of Wittelsbach rulers were involved in the construction of this Baroque castle which started in 1664. The admission fee to the palace is 5 Euro, but there are several interesting buildings nearby, so you can buy combined tickets, depending on how many places you intend to visit. In the park (it was created in 1701) there are several lakes and a beautiful fountain, when the whether is nice and sunny it is great to have a walk here. There is also a “Palace Café” in the park where you can have a drink or even some food. You can easily get there by tram 17 or bus 51; worth visiting!close
