Both a tourist attraction and an open-air beer garden/food court, if you're looking for some good German food in the city make your way here. Loads to choose from and cheap also.

This is much more than a bar...it's one of Munich's best beer gardens and you couldn't find anywhere better on a hot summers day! Great beer and the usual beer garden fare including brezen, sausages, half a chicken and the rest

Typical 3beer house" in Munich. You can go there for just a few beers, or for a whole lunch/dinner. They are specialized in the famous Bavarian "Weißbier" (wheat beer). A bit cheaper than Hofbräuhaus.

I've been to a few beer halls in Munich but this one is by far the best. As it's a few stops away from the main train station on the tram, it doesn't get too many tourists like the Hofbräuhaus. And the beer?! Oh the beer! It's something else.

Central location on same street as Hofbrauhaus. Busy and nice atmosphere. Great soup and we also tried the curry wurst! Small menu for lunch but definitely something for everyone. Seating outside if weather is nice.

Its not easy to find restaurants that serve food other than Bavarian food in Munich, so we went for a long walk in search of some thai or indian food. We found this cute little restaurant on a side street which served thai/vietnamese food. The decor was understated and the atmosphere calm and... more

Located just few mins walk from Hauptbahnhof, in direction of Karlsplatz, this cafe/restaurant is casual and food is nice enough. The menu is a mix of international dishes and also has some of the local dishes like schnitzel and wurst.
