We stayed here in August of 2009. Negatives: It's a big tent with 100 people sleeping in it, Positives: t's a big tent with 100 people sleeping in it! Basically, this style isn't for everyone, but for the price you can't beat. And the shower facility was nice and I always had hot water. While... more

My favourite hostel out of the 30 i've stayed in. brilliant idea. i stayed in the floor tent, slept very comfortably (with a good inflatable mat i brought - if you don't have your own, the one mat provided mightn't be as comfortable as going for a bunk). great communal spaces, campfire,... more

Its a tent, what do you expect. Don't come if you're a light sleeper or don't have a sense of humour. 20 mins from Munich centre, which is a bit annoying, so factor tram fare if you're comparing prices. Good kitchen, generally good vibe.

Pretty fun place, but expect campsite conditions. Staff are friendly, though food and beer is a little overpriced. It is also a bit out of town. They do a big bonfire at night though, where you can easily meet heaps of people. I would stay again.

Bit arkward to get to but it's not too far from the cenntre of town. Have free lockers to put your stuff in and the tent itself is huge so it's not that cramped.

The atmosphere was great, although definately better on the weekends. It was pretty inconvient that the entire staff took their break at the same time, especially in the morning from 10 30 to 11 30 when check out was at noon.

Enjoyable, but a staff break between 10.30 and 11.30 isn't the most practical time, when people have trains to catch and want to check out. Especially annoying with the number of staff they seem to have!

Brilliant place. If you're looking for an energetic, festival-type atmosphere in a decent location, with great, free facilities for an excellent price, don't even bother looking anywhere else. Some families staying here seemed a little bit out of place to me, though.

very good hostel, its basically a marquee with a 100 beds in it, but it was fun, would definitely go back, facilities were of an excellent standard and the breakfast was good, the only thing is the location, it is not with walking distance of anywhere however this can be overcome with munich's...

Was a little apprehensive of this place but it really exceeded my expectations. I actually slept better here than I did in lots of other hostels. Make sure you ask for extra blankets though as it gets really cold at night. They have a decent cafe with beer garden and every evening there's a camp...
