Very handy for the airport just Rs50 to/from domestic terminal and Rs60 to/from international (approx METER fare by autorickshaw) Very handy for station with trains straight into main Colaba station. Front rooms a bit noisy after 7am but overall a good bet, would use again.

I would not recommend staying here. They overcharged booking a bus for my friends by 300 R and there are roaches in the rooms.

We are now accustomed to Thai and SE Asia hotels and rates and these offer much better value for money. However, I understand that Mumbai now suffers from a shortage of good budget accommodation so this renders Singh's as satisfactory. Paradoxically, staying there provided an excellent experience. The hotel's environs provided a marvellous insight into what Mumbai seems to be about. The nearby vegetarian restaurant (Verashni?) next to Khar station is notably good and the inexpensive train service to the tourist area of Mumbai is very convenient. In short, up to 3 or 4 nights at Singh's can be recommended to the experienced and interested traveller - but tourists would cavil!close

This hotel was insanely expensive for the quality of the room. The only plus was that it is relatively close to the airport and (almost too) close to the suburban train line. While I didn't feel unsafe, I left the cockroach I shared my room with behind and bolted for Colaba at first light.
