Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mt. Fuji & the good hospitality on offer at Sunnide Resort! We command a magnificent view over Kawaguchi-ko towards Mt. Fuji. You may enjoy this wonderful scenery from our outdoor open-air public bath, restaurant, guest room & other places. We are located in a forest at the north side of the lake in the same location as the summer house of Duke Shimadzu was located. Our hotel has 20 rooms: 13 Japanese, 5 Western and 2 combined rooms. All guest rooms have their own bathrooms and toilets. Towels, shampoo and soap are also provided. The rooms, that you can book thru this website, are western rooms only. It takes 15 minutes by local bus from Kawaguchiko Stn. Also, there's a free pick-up service from Kawaguchiko station between 10AM & 5PM on your arrival and departure (advance notice requested for this service). Please aware that Hot Spring tax(OnsenTax : 150 yen / person / night) will be charged to persons over 13 year-old. If you wish to have dinner then you must make a reservation for this by 5PM. Please note: You must check in by 9PM on day of arrival, otherwise your booking will be cancelled.

antastic location on the lake and great onsen with view on Fuji. But it's good only for those who have car, like we did. Otherwise - better be in a middle of city. Good restaurant in the place. We ate also in a great restaurant nearby - Sunrokuen (tel:73-1000).

I loved the outdoor bath! It has easily been the highlight of my entire holiday in Japan, to wake up to a morning bath facing Fuji-san. ^^ I wish Hotel Sunnide all the best with its renovation. I hope to come again in the future. ^^

Extremely helpful and friendly staff and a very pleasant and comfortable hotel that was good value for money. My only criticism is that the evening meal was a bit small - I'd fill up in Kawaguchi ko beforehand if you have a big appetite. The breakfast buffet was very good value though.

My room was comfortable and the private bath was perfect. The common room was open and spacious, plenty of seating to relax, chat or read a book - also with a picture perfect view of Mt Fuji. I plan on returning to Mt Fuji in the spring and this is where I will stay.close

Excellent location, though car required if not necessary. Very helpful staff. Excellent meals, different menus at moderate prices. Good value for money. One day no sight at all of Mount Fuji. Next day gorgeous view from 7a.m. with lake Kamaguchi in front.

Although a very brief stay, we wish we could have stayed longer! language was a bit of a barrier, but all staff were extremely helpful and polite. It was especially fun getting dressed traditionally for dinner! Cheers Kit & Lyn Hauptmann

A great place to stay, with alot of charm. It really does have views of Fuji across Lake Kawaguchi. It is out of the hustle and bustle of Kawaguchico and a great place to relax. The meals are inexpensive and great quality.

I found this hotel a little bit far away from the town, which makes it more private and with a resort feel. Excellent service from the staff throughout the hotel

I don't think you could find a better place to stay, with a nicer view of Fuji and lake Kawaguchi--especially at such a nice price. The hot springs were fantastic and beautiful. The staff were incredibly helpful and Fuji was unbelievable. Breakfast was worthwhile, too. Just be sure to ask if they have a room with a Fuji-view available. The internet site might only allow you to reserve the 2 or 3 rooms without a view. Of course, there are plenty of places to view it from the hotel lobby, sitting rooms, hot tubs, etc.close

My experience there was wonderful, except without a car, the location was a little inconvenient. I expected the buses to be running later - had I known ahead of time, I might have booked somewhere in town instead. But apart from that, it was great!

Excellent establishment if what you want to do is spend some quality time with Mt. Fuji. The mountain looms just across the lake, conoeing and the bus station are nearby. Peaceful, clean, good stuff.
